You might find that your multiplier for the Bonus XP weekend is dropping slightly faster than you expected.

 

From our checking of it it looks like our rounding functions are being a little overzealous. Since we are cubing some figures after the division, it means that this rounding is exacerbated a little.

 

As such the curve is a little flatter and off from the function by approx 0.15. After a quick chat, we don't want to try to fix this while the event is going on, so we are leaving the curve as is. Sorry if this threw off your calculations for the weekend.

 

The curve will still flatten at 1.1x at approx 10 hours.

I'm actually pretty upset about this. 0.15 is a pretty big difference, and a lot of people won't reach their target levels because of this. Plus the equation was a simple quadratic...

We are fortunate to get any bonus XP at all, so take what you can get.

 

Also LOL at the kyatts at CW. I really have no words to describe that.

Protip: you cant get randoms at Sw bank and it is a bank chest

could people post any more screen shots of their multiplier boxes? if we get a fair number we can find the actual formula for the multiplier

I wish they changed the rate of randoms to match the new xp rate. Wasted like 10mins so far doing them :-(

Guys your getting atleast 1.1x more exp then you get any other day, so why complain.

Sure you get a little less then expecting, but you get a lot more then you normally would.

Lol after 1 million experience it just says "1 mil. xp" and it doesn't even give decimals like "1.1 mil.xp". :)

 

Yeah I need to get a extra 150 crimson after the update because of the rounding errors Jagex made :(

Grr, only heard of this and re-subbed last night.. By then the GE was empty. I was able to burn my blues and crimsons and gain 10 summoning levels in 30 mins, but that's it for me as far as summoning goes, can't get 2ndaries for anything X_x Logged out to try to figure out what to do next...

Woot, got 99 summoning, and because of the extra xp, I overshot it by a lot and have 14.75m xp now, which brought me to rank 596 (599 already by now, and probably gonna go down to 1000 when the weekends over). First time I'm in the top 1K I think

Like 2m exp an hour, not bad. (It was almost 4 mil but after 1 mil it starts showing only multiples of 1 mil).

Im done with summoning, I got 90. Now im slaying until 97 hp/95 str/87 slayer (like an hour), and then I will do agility the rest of the weekend.

Went from 85 to 90 summoning in 50 minutes.

Got 5 randoms, including the maze & the gravedigger.

Time for some herblore now.

Mmmm so I've been in game for an hour and 15 mins, my modifier says 2.3x and yet I'm only getting 45xp per iron ore? Am I missing something?

They already gave use the formula, no need to bug people for their .

just put a X instead of "hours logged in" and use a calculator
