Rollback due to RC glitch

Someone out there got a Divine on Lootshare, someone solo'd an Armadyl Hilt, and some lucky guy finally managed to get a Blue Partyhat off the GE. All during when the bug was around

I hope they ban the people who did it because they could. It's obvious who the rule breakers would be, get rid of them now.

 

That would be crap if they did, because that would include me if I had been playing at the time, because I regularly sell everything at the end of a dungeon and load up on ess.

 

You have to click ok for every level. Anyone who gained more than 1 level knew what was happening.

Well, to be fair, I was on my ranger pure. I started to craft fire runes, at level 35. After the first 10 ess I got a level 40 congrats message ;D Im sure if there hadnt been a rollback i might have been scrutinised closely, for gaining 5 levels....ridiculous how it was achieved with just 10 ess.

 

And yes, once i got the level up message i obviously clicked away and stopped. Unlike all these lying [bleep]s who just kept clicking *click here to continue*

You're the one whining because you lost your progress. Am I wrong? Just a word of advice, you would seem much more intelligent if you could express your opinion without swearing. After all, swearing stopped being cool when we (I, at least) turned around 9 or 10 (at the latest).

 

So far the server has been offline for, what? Like 2 hours? With 720 hours in a month, you are losing (assuming $6 per month) 2.4 cents. If you want, I can send you 2...no wait, I'll be generous and send you the full 3 cents.

 

Nice moneymaking possiblity I found out here, though. Copy a post into each RuneScape-related forum and proceed to receive 19 cents at each one! Given enough forums I could get another month of free membership from some nice, charitable gentlemen such as you two guys...

 

Nah, just kidding. My post was intended to be a mockery of people's general reactions. Judging from your rage-reactions (esp. the first quote) that applies to you guys as well. You're complaining about wasting your time only to get rolled back because of erroneous code, yet you would gladly go to the Rants forum to make witty remarks at people who, due to a single update or a series of update, considered their whole careers a waste - when it's clearly not about you. And if it's not you, there are plenty of people here who are guilty of that. As you guys often advise in said forum - get over it. It was just two hours; whatever you did, 120 minutes of your life went to waste. That's not a damn lot.

 

(Although somewhere, I heard that Jagex actually rolled back about 30 hours. If so - you owe me a bit short of 3 bucks. :wink: )

I wasn't even on durring the time of the glitch, but I still have fictitious stuff on my adventure log. I wonder when it is all going to up date. It's missing the dungeneering lvls I just got a couple of hours ago, but It does say I killed the king black dragon three times!!

 

I always knew my charactor was running around doing things when i wasn't on, and now I know!!! I wish she'd do something worthwild, and bring me back hilts and claws and sigils. I could do with some of that kind of help, lol.

 

edit: Oh My!! I just refreshed my log, and while I was fishing monks, I went on a pking rampage and killed 10 or more people. I hope she got some good drops.

 

Edit2: oh no, I refreshed again, and iI just lvl to 1300 total lvl via lvl up to 23 farming. This is an entertainment all its own (btw, i'm 78 farming and 2084 total). Its like Adventure log roulette.

Personally, I believe they shouldn't have rolled back. It was JAGEX's FAULT. None of the players can control this. Sadly people abused it, but it's jagex mess up, and they can't do anything more. They just robbed people from levels which we RIGHTFULLY earned.

 

Every single glitch that gets abused this is said. And every time there's the same reply:

 

1) It's against Jagex rules to abuse a bug;

2) They didn't do it on purpose.

 

If people abuse it, it's breaking Jagex' rules, and they should actually be banned, they're lucky to have a rollback instead.

 

Lol? So playing the game (you lost) normally should get you banned? What for? Making a few runes to beat the Tribrid boss? It is so easy to 'accidently' abuse this bug, unlike the PvP ones for massive death heat. The fact that Jagex responded fast is good, the sad part is some people who were at Gwd/Dangerous areas will lose their items.

 

How are you going to seperate abusers, and people who just made runes and didn't even realise the massive gain of xp (99 means no level up)?

If you mean the massive xp gain; It is known to be only for Rc. Possible to have affected something else but not likely, since the system update that caused the bug was a patch to 'fix rc xp'. If you mean rollback; they rolled back time. Like rewinding the clock 30 minutes. But you remember what you did.

After a few processes, you could gain rapid xp in any dungable skill. I will not go into those processes as it has been fixed along with the RuneCrafting patch.
