The GQ Eye, Sartorially Inclined, you_have_broken_the_internet, Start With Typewriters, All Plaidout, getting beat like you stole something, Street Etiquette, eyefivestyle, guidetobadtaste, the Sartorialist, Valet, etc. Many of these are very Americana/prep/trad, and I assume that will be right up your alley. Most of these blogs will have a list of similar blogs somewhere on their homepage, so you can find more of what you like.Also follow the Choosy Beggar. If you're like me then you lust for things far beyond your reach in terms of money, and you'll like their articles about big sales (Ralph Lauren is selling some things at 70%, right now. I'll also be using it for a few years to wear to the various interviews I'll be having. A suit would be ideal, but I don't exactly have the money for one. But I bought a plain black sports coat that fits very well, and now I'm trying to decide what to wear it with. I was thinking of having a white shirt, dark gray slacks, and possibly a gray or blue tie. I've still got a few weeks left to decide, which is nice. Same with the black tux, but black will always look slimmer. I'd go with a black tux with something a little special. A satin shawl collar for example. rangeor Posted September 13, 2010 Share Posted September 13, 2010 The semantics of menswear is far too ambiguous these days :( By sports coat I guess I really meant suit jacket, one that looks similar to this one. In regards to the formality, I suppose if you could pick one outfit to go with a black suit coat/blazer/sports coat/jacket/expensive piece of cloth that looks similar to the one above for various interviews for jobs or schools or semi-formal to formal occasions that would happen to pop up in which a full suit might not be ideal, what would you pick?
