1_man_army
I hate double posting but I had a few extras that I wasn't able to put in the first post. and just for the hell of it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zp4_r8_MMhohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbDFS6cg1AIhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1CaN4thI5w He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
foofoomagoo
De La Soul man that takes me back they were fun and gangstarr is as classic as it gets. I miss old school hip hop it had feeling and a message. I mean acts such as tribe called quest, black sheep, Geto Boys, Naughty By Nature those were the days. Not to say rap isn't decent now I just miss the times when I could listen to the radio and actually feel something from the songs played. Not just hear the same commercialized crap on repeat. edit-Friends by Damian Marley& Nas leaked today every song so far has been powerful and this is no different. Its not classic Nas I mean its hard to really match Illmatic but its as close as were going to get. 26M Crafting XP

foofoomagoo
After rereading this thread I'm surprised no one has mention Jay Electronica. Jay Electronica is crazy his new song Death of Christopher Wallace is something I would definitely recommend checking out. Diddy kinda ruins it a little but Jay's verses were nice. 26M Crafting XP
stevepole
Yeah, Diddy was an odd choice but B.I.G. was signed to Bad Boy and Diddy and him were good friends so for me it makes up for it.

Ruggig
I only know a few that I like. Adam Tensta is one of them, a Swedish rapper (he raps in English though). He mixes rap with electro and it sounds pretty sweet. Tensta is a suburb in Stockholm where he grew up. - Song starts at 0:43.Adam Tensta - They Wanna Know - A song about prejudices people have towards hip-hop, with clever and funny lyrics. - Awesome SNES-inspired video. Also Immortal Technique, such a wordsmith. nine naked men
Sage Francis' new album is out, Li(f)e. Check it out, it's pretty awesome. :3 Quite fond of Little Houdini and Slow Man off it, though everything on is listenable. I prefer some of his older, louder stuff. I think he raps better with heavier beats. I'd post some YT links, but I'm shaped. :< sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

Saru Inc
I really dislike this elitist mentality that surrounds indie rappers and musicians. If you legitmatelty hate mainstream, it's ok but don't act so uppity. "I prefer quality and orginiality so I don't listen to mainstream" fml. Eminem is awesomeeee, as is Wayne (imo, don't listen to him much anymore) but c'mon stop talking down to mainstream rap >.< on another notehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9QisdRPwEM TOO FUNNY. Skull
It's a pretty good album. The songs average almost 5 minutes though, which makes it a little difficult to listen to. Overall I'd give it maybe a 7/10 but there were some songs that I really liked. I'll probably listen to it again tomorrow since it's 2am now.
