I just purchased a Faithful Shield and thought I would share the statistics of the shield with everyone here on the forum.

This is a Picture of me holding the shield, the purple (smoke?) leaves a trail behind you as you move around.

These are the stats of the shield, pretty decent prayer bonus and the defence bonuses aren't too bad.

 

The shield costs 200 Castle Wars tickets.

 

Also the shield is valued at 120,000gp (120k) on the Items kept on death interface.

Guthix halo reduces the drain rate of the prayers Clarity of Thought, Improved Reflexes, Incredible Reflexes, Chivaly and Piety.

Saradomin halo reduces the drain rate of Thick Skin, Rock Skin, Steel Skin, Chivalry and Piety.

Zamorak halo reduces the drain rate of Burst of Strength, Superhuman Strength, Ultimate Strength, Chivalry and Piety.

 

All Halo's cost 300 Castle Wars Tickets.

All Halo's are valued at 150,000gp(150k) on the Items kept on death interface.

All the Halo's slow down the drain rate of different prayers. They all have a particles effect like the shield so when you run along a smoke trail the colour of the halo will follow you.

 

That is everything I will be able to get pictures & statistics of because I don't have enough tickets for much else.

Which halo is priced the highest, or are all the prices the same? These new rewards could make some sexy skilling outfits. Also, is there a defence req on the shield?

Also I do not have a image shack account so I don't know how long those pictures will be up for display. However it did not mention anything like a time limit so they could do the job.

All Halo's are the same price at 300 Castle Wars tickets each, I don't know the defence requirements on any of the items because it doesn't mention anything about one. I imagine that the halo's wouldn't have one (if anything a prayer level requirement?) but the shield could possibly have a low Defence level requirement.. However I am not certain on any of this.

Not if it works on top of your prayer bonus, which it might.

 

Also, prayer bonuses affect all prayers, these halos do not.

Well isn't prayer bonus not a linear reduction in prayer drain- so 30 prayer bonus isn't 3x as good as 10 prayer bonus, its more like 2.5x better. This way the halos are separate and have the same effect no matter what your prayer bonus is.

 

Has anyone done research on how much slower prayer drains with the halos, and if prayer bonus effects it?

The shield is a rune kite with +6 pray, just fyi. I don't think anyone has noticed that.

Darn.. that's upsetting. I don't think I'll be switching off of curse prayers. Sorry Jagex..

I wish the shield didn't have negative attack bonuses for mage and ranged. This whole update is geared towards melee, it would seem. I guess it's sort of understandable as mages dominate CW, but it'd still be nice if it weren't so biased.

It's also a significant boost, pro-longing the amount of time you can use the prayer by 50% (reducing drain of the prayer by 33%).

No, definitely not.

Of course not. People are paying 100k/h to get a 25-30% boost by turmoil, so why would you accept a decrease by 15% to save a mere 33k?

And takes 110 hours to get, has no stats(well, nearly), can't be used for slayer, can't be used for pvp... umm...where would you use it? I even doubt that it is significantly better than neitiznot at armored zombies(only place i'd see an use for it).

 

On a similar note, apart from looking strange, the shield has no use at all.
