Those kids in the video looked terrified. You can't have the reaction speed the kid on the bike had if a nuke went off unless you were living everyday expecting it to happen.

You're reading this thread, suddenly the power goes out. Your computer screen flashes off. Before you can adjust to the darkness and find your cellphone for light, a bright flash, like one of those huge LED maglites, appears for just a second in your window, like a bolt of lightning outside your house.

 

There's no rain, and oddly enough no clouds, but you do hear a sizzling noise from outside. You look outside and realize there's a bright, bright light from the opposite side of your house. There is complete and utter silence, not even the distant traffic anymore.

 

You wonder if you've been, I don't know, deafened somehow.

 

You run to the other side of your house and look out the door. Visible over the trees and houses is this.

 

You have a little over a minute.

 

What do you do?

 

Tell them to land in the field behind my house and have some tea with them.

I'd probably rage because I lost whatever I was working on my computer.

I've actuually had a dream where that very thing described by OP happened. I layed down on my bed and jsut took it like a man. What would I actually do? I'd probably run outside and get the best view possible. An explosion that big would have to be pretty...

I did see a RAF Vulcan bomber over my house, turns out it was just practicing for an air show.
