Why Do People Join Teams?

Recommended Posts

Simple topic, I basically want your opinions on teams, and how they affect the clan world.

My reasoning is that the only reason you would join a team is if you aren't getting something out of your clan, or if your clan isn't offering something that your team is offering. I personally am an anti-team person simply because it's just another way to multi-clan for me. The sole upside I see is interactions with people in other clans.

Your thoughts?

I have lived my life to the best of my ability, but I have not been able to escape fate, anger, or pain.

Bring me the answers, and the road that leads to truth, reveal to me once and for all, how all of this will end.

Shadows cannot exist without the light. But without the shadows, the light has no meaning.

I see two sides to teams...

Teams give people to war on short prep a lot and provide extra practice for people who seek it. They also give you a chance to meet new people and learn new stuff from other clanners.

The otherside is the omgomomg ima make a team and we will be ownage mang!!! and they're doing it for some of the reasons above but they are also doing it because it's become a trend to make teams kinda.

The main reason I dislike teams is because they are made so often and are normally holding the same members or share a decent amount of those members with another team. If you are joining a team limit yourself to only one team so we can let the stronger more organized teams succeed and grow and not end up reading 3v3 topics.

Teams that make 3v3 topics are stupid! those who make 6v6 topics though are epic!

They join teams to get more wars...

A bit more action, I guess. In all honesty, I don't see the point in F2P-based teams. If you're willing to join a F2P team, you should simply organise a trip/war for your main clan instead of wasting your time elsewhere. I understand why people join specialist teams, however, since those experiences aren't often possible in main clans.

- you get to know a lot of people from different clans

- you have the chance to learn from them (from the other clan´s people)

- more wars

- more fun

- more relaxed enviroment

I personally enjoy very much being in a Team.

Well I only join Teams to get more practice in Clan Wars or PvP. Also for more wars and pk's. Just for more fun, I don't really call it an official clan because usually people only make teams to have fun with there friends. And that's basiclly what I do with teams.

Recruit me pl0x?

Only logical reasons i can think of:

- Practice

- You have no life and you need more runescape warring

- Powerhungry; it's much easier to get a rank in a team.

People join teams for the extra experience and learning you can get from people who come from completely different backgrounds.

I've only joined one team in my clanning career and didn't stay long. I prefer to just focus on my clan. But some other people like to constantly be warring and being in a team allows them to be a part of many more fights.

Cause it's fun? I personally enjoyed my time in Tko Blitz more than any other team or clan. I'm actually glad it was the last clan-world-related group that I joined before I retired from the game.

I join teams to get the different warring experience that you mentioned. Silent Ember pulls 30s average and it's very difficult for me to tank, while Lethality is sadly pulling in the mid teens. Being in Silent Ember makes me a better tank for my clan, and thats why I joined.

I thoroughly enjoy being apart of my teams; it allows me to meet more people whilst also allowing me to war stronger clans which my clan admittedly wouldn't do well against. It's also a lot of fun being in teams too, and it's certainly made me a better warrer.

To the people who are antiantiantiantianti-teams, y u mad tho? Teams make sure that clans are put first. They're there for fun and extra practice and mean no harm what so ever. I encourage European members in my clan to join Clan Europe or to join the teams I'm in, as they help give invaluable experience which benefits us all.
