Treasure Trail let down.

Let me start by saying that i'm a hardcore fan of treasure trails ever since TT were implemented.

And over the years i have learned that Jagex still hasn't figured out that they constantly give people false hope.

Now my rant is not entirely about TT in general but also about how Jagex manages to pull it off everytime.

For example, Jagex has promised 150+ new TT items but what they didn't tell us that they would make different versions of different items.

Take the teleport scrolls for example, there's 6 variants which each count as their own items, that's 6 new different items.

The now tradeable firelighters, 5 new different items.

God arrows & pages, 2 items with each 3 variants, 6 new different items.

Black Heraldic platebodies, skirts and platelegs, 15 new different items.

Ornament kits, 9 different items.

 

 

We were also promised a common TT items most of the time so we wouldn't just do the clue and end up with something like a rune large.

So people expected they'd get just a little more than the regular 30k from doing a lv 3 clue but now they get common stackable TT items worth as much as a rune large.

Jagex gives people false hope.

I was stoopid again and blindly followed what i read and actually thought i'd see 150+ unique items, the time it took to finish it made me believe it even more that this as the biggest TT update ever, even bigger than the first one.

I bet i wasn't the only one.

Damnit i even tell other people never to rely on Jagex and now i make the damn mistake myself.

Jagex surely is ambitious and like to think big but they're making a fool out of their company.

They could have just said; "We are working on a new TT update that will give the player acces to 40 new items each with their own variants." or something like that.

And

; "People will now also have a big chance of getting one of the common TT rewards in their casket, but don't mistake that for bigger wealth.

 

If that would have been said than i had nothing to say or to be dissapointed about.

 

 

Oh and why did they had to change the items needed for emote uri clues?

They said they'd change the items to more suitable items. I beg to differ the items are just as "hard" to aqcuire as before.

They just changed it and i can't think of any other reason than to annoy us.

That wasn't what i was expecting, i'm happy that they didn't alter the droprate of the old TT items.

It was a bit of over hype; of the 150+ new items 54 are merely old items re-made in armadyl, zaros and bandos.

Saying 150 new items implies 150 new items.

 

It doesnt imply 6 of the same item with a slightly different use. I totally understand OP's frustration, but ive learned over the years never to take jagex updates at face value, there is a lot of over hyping and you will be let down.

 

Kinda just depends on what you understood it to mean; I personally always thought there would be duplicate items, just like the pre-existing reward items (5 Bob shirts? 5 Boaters? 10, 5-piece sets of armour? I assumed that the trend would continue over to these new ones, which it did.)

 

And technically still, these items never existed before, so they are all still "new."

the one i keep seeing is people have to get splitbark helm and mud pie and a rune platebody and going to shilo village. what is hard is that no one sells splitbark helms, so they think they can get it themselves, the fine cloth is 13k each wich is ok but then the bark is annoying to get, then the mud pie is pretty easy, but then you go do it and you accidently hit the agent with it you get mad and have to get another mud pie ive had that uris emote happen twice to me wen i was doing clues

I wonder why they even had to make that change, the bark is pretty easy to get but the pie throwing.. I was lucky I had auto-ret off when I did my clue but then I saw 3-4 guys come and everyone ended up throwing their pie...

 

I'm also a bit disapointed that most of the new items were just old items with new skins, not even better stats or anything.

Yeah, neither did I. I like what they did. Including the other gods was a good idea! I'm not disappointed at all. :)

 

Also yeah, the new Shilo Uri emote? Dumbest thing ever. Why change it? I also had the clue twice this morning, and BOTH time I threw my pie at him so I had to make another. I know right? Got the Shilo clue, made my own mud pies, so I figure, hey let's try for some fine cloth or ninja implings. Guess not, since they aren't buying. So then I thought, well, i'll try for some fine cloth myself, and buy some pyre logs, and go kill some low level shades so I can get to the higher level shades. And I get the message "You muse make your own pyre logs for this part of the quest", well, I'm not doing any quests.

 

Maybe I need to do shades of morton to cremate, but this is really annoying. I mean, bone spears and mystic hats were uncommon enough IMO, now splitbark helms.

This. Now I have double the items I used to have and have no idea which ones i am going to need.

 

My emote clue experience from yesterday.

 

Polar top. no-one sold it or the hides.

Mud pie. had to do it myself and also threw it at the agent...

Iron boots. No-one sold, and had to kill about 200 cave slimes to get one pair...

polar legs. ffs...

different colored flowers. Why jagex?

You know what? I'd actually take the rune helms and plates back in return for the stupid biscuits and firelighters clogging up that 70k that made us "meh".

Not only was the new TT update overhyped, it messed up the rest of Treasute Trails(for me atleast). The new items were hyped when they came out but crashed a few days later... This along with other problems with the update ruined the spirit of Treasure Trails for me... Thanks for another letdown Jamflex...

same thing to me, get clue, find i have to go to elf place, spend a year or 2 training ajil and doing quests (im ineficent, and hate trainign ajil) do quest.

as for the new items, i dident exspect much, but i was very intreiged with the prayer armour, turned out it was worse then prosy. that was a nails-vs-chalkbord moment.

 

fire lighters tradeable was a good thing imo, new god items where over-due (although the books are messed up guthix books).

the bows are... intresting, spec's can be usefull (sara is like the ranged equivelent as sgs)

telly scrolls, had thay been relised a few years ago, o-m-effing-gee that would of been sweet, now half the places thay go to have allmost as efective telly options + run update, getting to tio-ba-wani can still be anoying, but with 30+ agility and the busker mid way, its not a real problem.

 

so all around, not very good items imho.

 

the splitbark helm... its now worth more then the intire set of splitbark (inclueding the helm) :blink:

I'd simply be happier if they removed the dreadful uri emote clues so i don't have to waste bank space/time/money with them.
