You can't block Facebook's CEO on Facebook

The ignorance of some people and the Bias of social Media towards anything internet related really bugs me.

They used their site, they agreed with the Terms and Conditions, they are the Developers and have access to your account either you want it or not, after all, you agreed to give them that Right.

As it has been said so far, if you don't want it, get out. It's their website.

Honestly, who cares? It's just one dude looking at your profile, and the odds of that one person seeing it is absurdly minimal at best. And besides, you signed to allow it when you accepted the ToU.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.

Not only did you sign the ToS, but the fact is you put sensitive items ON THE INTERNET. If you're worried about someone seeing it, here is the last place you want to put it.

Well that explains a lot. I thought he was reading my mind.

I'd be really surprised if it wasn't possible for them to do so.

I mean, they're probably not supposed to/not allowed, and wouldn't. But they probably could if they really wanted to.

After googling myself, I found more information than I want to be known. Facebook seems to be the culprit, so I just removed myself from it. It was a real pain in the ass to do too. First I had to disassemble all the groups I'd started (removed information, removed all members, changed the name, removed myself). Then I went and removed ALL information from my profile, deleted all tags of me in pictures, removed all pictures I uploaded.

Finally, I deactivated my account. You'd think this would be a simple process, but it was about as complicated as FB's security settings. First I had to provide a reason I wanted out. Then I had to expand upon that reason. Then I had to enter my password, then I had to enter in a couple of captcha's.

Good fight facebook. I hope to outlast you.

I'm not sure, but is that a serious post? Or just showing how complex it'd be to remove yourself from facebook?

Either way, in retrospect, it's one person you can't block. And that one person is probably too busy to view profiles all day. Really, people over-analyze things.

No, I really did delete my profile. Its not the CEO I'm concerned about (actually, come to think of it, it is.)

Anyhow, I posted my personal information for my friends, but it found it's way to a result in Google.

Actually ended up deactivating my account today. I find it dumb you can't actually delete anything though.

It wasn't due to privacy concerns by the way. I just found I got nothing out of facebook and never used it. Figured I would just deactivate the account so people didn't think I was just ignoring them.

Still I don't really agree with how facebook is dealing with things.

I don't want to put a bunch of effort into it, but some time ago a chat transcript with Zuckerberg was released, showing his complete disregard for security.

I share my information on facebook with my friends, and friends only. When they changed the privacy settings, they automatically changed my settings to be as lax as possible.

Lets say instead of Zuckerberg, there was a complete creeper. Everyone started blocking that creeper, but facebook decided that too many people were blocking them, so they disallowed blocking them. That isn't privacy.

When my Pandora account automatically linked with my facebook account, it tweaked me. I want facebook to know as much about me as I tell it. I didn't tell facebook that I had a Pandora account, I didn't want either linked. What if facebook linked to my Amazon and Ebay accounts? What if facebook linked to those, which in turn linked it to my Paypal account? All of a sudden, there's more and more connections to what I do online that I don't want some complete creeper knowing.

I deactivated my account because Facebook/Zuckerberg doesn't value my privacy in the same way I do.

I was a little concerned when Skype decided to fortify a nice little outpost on my facebook page when I'm logged in to both programs, but with a little playing of the add-ons, it's no longer an issue. It just seems like rage quitting facebook for security reasons is extreme. If linked programs bother you [they do that for your CONVENIENCE by the way], just 'tell' them not to do it, and they won't. its really not all that complicated either. I'm fairly new with Firefox and it only took me 15 minutes or so to learn how to manage my add-ons and facebook page links. And I'm pretty sure Facebook isnt going to edny your blocking of a creeper if he/she gets blocked too much. if they get blocked too much, they might get deleted, or they just get a chunk of cyberspace cut from underneath them. The only person you can't block is the CEO guy, who I sincerely doubt is going to give a rats ass about if your tagged in a racy photo. Theres billions[?] of users. And he's one guy. Even if he spent every day non-stop lurking alphabetically, he'd die before he reaches the letter "C"

Can't block Tom of Myspace either, but no one cares about that, so whatever.

It's his site, he can deny you use of it if he wishes. He has a right to access all parts of his website, including all profiles created. I don't see the big issue though, since it's just one guy.

Honestly, you're [bleep]ing paranoid if you're seriously freaking out that he can view your account. He's a [bleep]ing millionaire with a lot of stuff to do, there's no reason he would ever look at your account. And even if you could block his account, he owns the site. If he wanted to see your [cabbage], he could do it in a heartbeat no matter what you try to do to prevent it.
