brad1431
In between slaying I want to start doing some farming runs. I want the easiest ones that are good profit, not ones that I have to recheck or get some special thing like the dungeonerring rewards, just basic farming. Please give me some tips, stats are sin sig.

Amaranth_GTO
for profit, do herb runs. Cabbageport, go north to the path. Then use ecto, go west to the patch. Camelot teleport, go east to the patch. Then ardy cape tele to the ardougne patch. Then get to the my arms big adventure patch. You can get 100k+ profit per farming run even without juju pots and scroll of life
Sinkhan
Don't do farm runs without getting juju pots or scroll of life Juju pots are really only necessary with torstol. You still profit a lot on most herbs without it. And the scroll of life only effectively reduces seed costs by 10%. To say that he shouldn't do any farm runs at all without either one is a little outrageous. OT, do avantoe/ranarr herb runs. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
ghjkl
Juju and sol is the difference between 150k per run and 400k per run on average. Farming isn't worth it without them, there are much better ways to make money without herb farming before juju pots. And wergali is best not avantoe i think
Serpent Eye
Don't do farm runs without getting juju pots or scroll of lifeOP, I would take the above advice with a grain of salt (no offense to squareroot2). Farming is very profitable, and it has been long before Dungeoneering or the Herb Habitat minigame even existed. The rewards from these are beneficial, but not strictly necessary to Farming. I don't have the Scroll of Life, nor have I done the new Herb Habitat minigame, and I still profit every farm run I make. - - - If you want to seriously get into Farming, I would suggest you gain access to Magic secateurs, Magic watering can, and the Trollheim herb patch. I got to about level 82 Farming before I did My Arm's Big Adventure, and I really regret not doing it sooner... having access to this patch is an invaluable resource, especially if you grow more costly herbs like Snapdragon or Torstol. Judging from your Quest Points, I'm thinking you've already done all of these necessary quests. I would also suggest you obtain the Falador shield from the Falador Achievment Diary, and the Ardy cloak from the Ardy Achievement Diary. If you purely want to profit with little-to-no loss, I would only focus on growing Herbs. Allotments and Tree/Fruit trees are costly, and don't generally profit ever. I personally am farming Avantoe, Snapdragon, Strawberries/Watermelon, Willow and Papaya trees at the moment. Here's a brief summary of my farm runs: [hide]HERB RUNSRing of Duelling-> Al Kharid Duelling Arena: Cactus patch (harvest Spines only, I don't replant it)Ectophial teleport -> Port P: Avantoe and x2 AllotmentsLumby Ring -> Fally Cabbage Patch: Avantoe and x2 AllotmentsRun to Draynor Manor: BelladonnaTeleport to Trollheim -> My Arms's Herb patch: SnapdragonTeleport to Fishing Guild (Lunar Magicks) -> Ardy: Avantoe and x2 AllotmentsTeleport to Catherby (Lunar Magicks) -> Catherby: Avantoe and x2 Allotments TREE RUNS(Already in Catherby after finishing my herb run)Plant x1 Papaya treeTeleport to Ardy -> Brimhaven: x1 Papaya tree and x1 Spirit TreeTeleport to Lumby: x1 Willow TreeTeleport to Falador: x1 Willow TreeRun to Taverly: x1 Willow TreeTeleport to Varrock: x1 Willow TreeRun to G.E. Fertile Soil is great for not having to carry Supercompost around, and the Fishing Guild/Catherby teleports are awesome. Happy farming! :)

Serpent Eye
If you haven't already, I also suggest reading through the AOW guide by Zaaps: http://forum.tip.it/topic/242787-mother-gaia-an-in-depth-manual-to-farming/ It's very helpful if you're new to Farming.
haqiang
avantoe and toadflax is 100% profit regardless of death of the patch, maybe 100-200k profit per run torstol on average is the best money-maker and xp wise (scroll of life and juju pot), i started torstol at lvl 82 with garden pie, if i'm going for a low end estimate, its about 400k per run on average I gone from 65 to 88 farming purely on farming herbs, it has take a while (started during the summer) but its easy to fit it in between slayer task, fish fling, and skilling. zotto
Last patch of torstol gave 8 torstols: which equals loss. I'm not sure torstols are that big money makers at the moment. Even with Juju. ------- edit: actually according to grimy's efficiency spreadsheet you should make a profit.
transcript80
Doing allotments is not very good xp, let alone money. It's a nice extra, thogh.Don't forget to plant limpwurts or marigolds in the flower patch, profit there to pick! As for the rest, go with the abopve advice (SerpentEye), and get the Scroll of life and JuJu potions as extra's, they only increase the profits MORE. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Quyneax
You're one level from snapdragon, try to get that quickly (trees, fruit trees, herbs, bushes). Allotments are slow xp. If you wanted to get into snapdragon farming, I'd highly recommend juju potions. When using them, start your farm run at Trollheim, drink right before harvesting, then supercompost/plant and teleport quickly. You can do one farm run with one dose, but only just about if you get lots of herbs. Use herbs on the leprachaun to note them. A scroll of life is great for snaps (30k per run) and torstol (180k per run) but it really doesn't matter much for the others. If you want fast farming xp overall, do trees and calquat. I think they're around 140k xp per run (but you can only really do 1 per day). Farming isn't worth it without them, there are much better ways to make money without herb farming before juju pots. And wergali is best not avantoe i think That's over 150k profit for 5 minutes of work every hour and a half. I do farming runs all the time without juju potions or a scroll of life. By your logic, a better method then that would have to earn 150k or more per 5 minutes, or, 4.5M an hour. Stop being ignorant. OT: Just plant Ranarr or Avantoe in all 4(5 if you've done My Arm's Adventure), and come back after every task(or two) and pick them. Quick and easy bonus cash. And can also easily pay for most if not all of the costs of cannoning/pietying/turmoiling tasks. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005. Still worth it imo since it's a nice break from slaying, which on the whole isn't that profitable, and is a very stable source of income. Unknown_Warrior
Last patch of torstol gave 8 torstols: which equals loss. I'm not sure torstols are that big money makers at the moment. Even with Juju. ------- edit: actually according to grimy's efficiency spreadsheet you should make a profit. This spreadsheet details money made with Farming. Although I made it for my HH guide, it details normal gp/hour rates as well based on 5 minute runs and using all 5 patches (assuming an average of 6.8 herbs per patch - Supercompost and Magic secateurs are assumed). As for today:- No scroll of life, no juju → Grow Wergali (1.96M gp/hr) or Spirit weed (1.68M gp/hr) or Toadflax (1.5M gp/hr)- Scroll of life, no juju → Grow Wergali (1.97M gp/hr) or Snapdragon (1.79M gp/hr)- No scroll of life, juju → Grow Snapdragon (2.8M gp/hr)- Scroll of life and juju → Grow Torstol (4.6M gp/hr) It's scary how these two things can make such a ridiculous change. But there you have it. Dragon Drops : 5 Dragon Medium Helmets, 3 Dragon Claws, 3 Dragon platelegs, 2 Dragon plateskirts, 2 Dragon Hatchets, 2 Dragon Spears, 7 pairs of Dragon Boots, 1 Dragon pickaxe, 10 Dragon defenders, 3 Dragon 2h swords, 1 Dragon armour Slice, 1 Dragon armour Lump, 1 Dragon chainbody, 1 Dragon kiteshield, 1 Dragon hasta, 1 Dragon ward, 25 Dragon knives pairsThe Warrior's Blog , Herblore Habitat - Efficient and profitable[hide=Stats and logs].:Adventurer's Log:.[/hide]
highlanders
Don't grow wergali. I got fooled by the spreadsheets and planted lots of it. It sold at first, but for the last few weeks it's been unsellable and plummeting down at great speeds. I think the real value is wergali is around ~2.5k, which is the min price of clean wergali, the only way you can sell it. 2480+ total

It's never been a really a super valuable herb as the potions give mediocre xp and the potions aren't in high demand, which means it was probably manipped a bit and skewed the spreadsheets. Snaps, ranarrs, and avants are always in demand because they actually go toward useful potions people make and use in large quantities. Serpent Eye
I thought Wergali were only valuable months and months and months ago when they were randomly in demand...? highlanders
The funny thing is before they became unsellable like ~3 weeks ago, they actually sold, hence why I did not stop farming them immediately. I probably sold around ~600 grimy wergali at 7.5k each at that time. No idea who would buy that, pretty crazy. 2480+ total
