Saradomin_Mage
So do hundreds of other shows, yet very few have a cult of nerds following them. Why was this show picked? Anyone know?Because it is simply the most extreme show they can watch. It's target is extremely girly and for little kids. Phineas and Ferb, for instance, would be a great substitute for My Little Pony, however, it's gender-neutral and aimed for kids of all ages. It won't have the same *effect* as MLP would have. All going back to the bandwagon, of course. Why not something like Winx Club or W.I.T.C.H.? (ignore that fact that I'm aware of these shows)Had to Google that, ha. Well of course there's an community reason for the spark of MLP, but this massive bandwagon/popularity? As my post. That said, if the spark started with Winx...then this thread would be called something else.Actually, I've watched Winx, and I can honestly say that MLP is a better (or at least less bad) show. Winx, I feel, has a much more targeted audience, whereas MLP is not as ... piercing ... to a guy watching the show (much like in the sense of Powerpuff Girls. Maybe I'm an odd fellow). It's definitely better than a lot of the other cartoons currently running on my channels, which have poor / lacklustre characters, dialogue, graphics or a mix of those. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
Zierro
If you really didn't want stupid mindless [cabbage] you wouldn't be on /b/ in the first place. I agree with your view on MLP though. There are diamonds in the piles of poop. I don't know about /b/, but /gif/ has changed the way I look at cars and people forever.
Toki_Hakurei
Everything about this show makes sense now that I've watched this:[hide=Contains (obviously sentence-mixed) NSFW language]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWmDcujkIjw[/hide] Click the "Signed in as..." go to Manage ignored users, copy paste Toki_Hakurei.I'm pretty sure having boobs is the most broken super power anyone can ever have. 0_0
Crocefisso
Dear [bleep]ing god. I just cringed the whole time watching this. Oh my god, look at those women at around 1:09-1:12. I'm not sure they're even women. #-o I don't think anyone who's against it is saying it's an awful show. It's a perfectly fine show for little girls. It just has an unnatural fan obsession from older men. This is true. I still can't comprehend how a programme made for infant girls can be so entertaining for men in their 20s and 30s. I watched it and almost spat my spaghetti on the floor at the horror of it. Maze
I honestly don't see why Hasbro would take down the episodes. First of all, a lot of people (including me) were introduced to the show through Youtube Second of all, fans without cable can watch the show Third of all, a lot of fans bought the toys and merch

Nadril
I'm not a fan of those bronies who just jumped on the bandwagon after watching like 2 episodes. I watched about 13 episodes before I knew there was a cult following, and I joined the community for the fun of it. I just hate it when both sides fight and hate on eachother. So you're a pony hipster?...
doomy
Ok seriously this is over the top. Vezon Dash
I honestly don't see why Hasbro would take down the episodes. First of all, a lot of people (including me) were introduced to the show through Youtube Second of all, fans without cable can watch the show Third of all, a lot of fans bought the toys and merch It is because Hasbro didn't take the videos down. If anyone here would actually visit EQD (like all bronies should) you would know that it was some random troll that posed as Hasbro. This happened before this year. The ponies should be back up on YouTube soon. Hasbro is selling more pony items than ever now with the invention of the brony community, and the revenue is too good to pass up. I mean, hell; they already grabbed me for like $10 worth of pony stuff. And possibly more on the way.

It's almost September now, it's been a few months. As for why we dont like something like Winx Club, because Winx Club sucks.
