August 12, 201015 yr Yes. According to the wiki, fireflies don't exist, and I've harvested a crudload of those butterfly gather point things without getting a single firefly. August 12, 201015 yr hm? me? fireflies do exist. you cant catch goldenfish easily without them... you know area 4 in the moga woods? if you go in there from area three, to the right of that entrance when you get there s a small cave area. theres a bug gather point there, and im sure ive gotten some fireflies from there.. August 12, 201015 yr Well given that there is a single mandatory quest in the game which fireflies might actually be useful in, and there is an infinite respawn of bait RIGHT NEXT TO the point where you fish, it really doesn't make a slight difference. And also given that Nex couldn't find them and that most introductory players to the series will find collecting fireflies to be annoying at best, it is indeed a hassle which can easily be avoided by just using the infinite respawn of worms directly behind the fishing spot. Hell, I didn't know where I could find fireflies when I first played MH, and I managed just fine without them. The quest takes what, 10 minutes? And there are no monsters involved either, so it's going to be boring whichever way you go about it, so just get it done.

August 13, 201015 yr Immunizers are only good for combining into might pills, which are in turn only good for GS users. Nex, just wait until you see the limp, then catch it immedietly afterwards. Place the trap, go to the other side of it and lure the monster in, then throw two Tranq bombs.
