January 29, 200620 yr Yeah...we need a hard quest...But a rewarding one too. I don't like magic, I'm not gonna use ancient magicks, and legends quest hardly has any good reward.
January 29, 200620 yr I want a monkey madness/ regicide quest. where you get stranded in an area and you have to survive by using what's there (banana stalls/rabbit cooking) and it takes a long time and you have to be stealthy :P.
January 29, 200620 yr desert treasure is NOT IMPOSSIBLY hard. If lvl 70 pures with no prayer and 1 def can do it, its pretty hard for a lvl 86 who know what hes doing not to complete the quest. On the other hand, RS should be a bit more like WoW here, having a few quests that lvl 100 will have trouble doing. The best weapon in WoW etc are all quest items and i guess RS tried to copy that with crystal equipment. However making a hard hard quest would make owning the equipment a priviledge, rather than a right, and make the equipment that little bit more special. Im sure rs can have a few items that are better than whips, but can only be gotten from hardout quests, takes 80 att to wield, but does not give exp when fighting. http://www.soundclick.com/rztheheretic
January 29, 200620 yr A luck based one. Hello? Ever heard of RuneScape? And I happen to think people need to stop crying about luck. so there's this thread in p2p general called "the most annoying things ppl do on runescape" i am tempted to post "ya wen im cybering with a girl and they log off for no reason"
January 29, 200620 yr Yes, while I'm sure we would all like to see harder quests, the reality is that one may be just around the bend. The Legends Quest was the hardest and last Quest of RuneScape Classic, and we're currently in the high 90s in terms of numbers of quests. The 100th Quest should truly be on an epic scale. I could do with something 10-20 times harder and longer than anything before, taking multiple days or weeks to complete, and only suitable for people with stats well over 80 and 90 in a lot of areas.
January 30, 200620 yr i would like a very hard quest....as long as it didnt involve high agility requirements Thanks to Goldwolflord, megadedhed, willmcdermot, Biabf, jak722, born2die, Mediumwell, xxxShade, Random, speedofsound, edtheripper, and Alduron for the awesome sig
January 30, 200620 yr have a quest called legends classic, its just legends like it was in rsc. no run, cant eat or run while fighting demon, and no magic. ill bet not even 5% of the people who have done legends could of dont it in rsc 485th person to ever play RuneScapeBlue107- perm banned 10/12/2007. $300 USD reward if you can get me in contact with someone who will take 5 seconds to look at evidence and get my original character unbanned.
January 30, 200620 yr Id like to see a quest that makes me go train some of my skills. I havnt had to do that since getting 50 thieving for underground pass (got pissed off at the agility course) Not combat, but other skills. I got 1441 total withonly farming and slayer under 60. Surely they can put out a quest giving me an incentive to train?
January 30, 200620 yr Hmm, a really hard quest. since jagex updates contain 99% of HARDCORE UBER QUERSTING which is no-challenge for higher lvls. Maybe an adventure for noobs but yeah... A quest for 110+ :)
January 30, 200620 yr Problem is that due to prayer making invulnerable, and being able to eat 20HP sharks while fighting, making a hard combat is impossible unless you go with multi-attack monsters like KQ. Combat monsters would be a lot harder if 1) prayer wouldn`t protect 100% 2) eating is only allowed 10 secs after combat. It would make fighting a lot more dangerous.
January 30, 200620 yr A new quest like legends that requires higher skills and gets you an untradeable item, but in realistic lvls, maybe all 60's.
January 30, 200620 yr Id like to see a quest with equal puzzling to MEP2, equal battleing as in DT, and high quest points needed like Legends... Total evil :P... i really like hard quests ( omg MEP2 is trully the hardest i tell you that, when there was no guide i was like a burnt brain. ) QUEST POINT TOTAL= 190 now :) only left to do is... Camel quest, Devious minds and hand in the sand ( went off members after devious minds) I totally agree. I've done all the quests. They don't present much of a challenge. Fight a few high lvl bosses with multiple stages. Solve a huge puzzle. Then finish it off with a huge gladitorial deathmatch like in monkey madness. Features I would like to see in a new uber quest: 1)Early stages invovling run items around various NPCs 2)Some basic puzzles requiring your knowledge of rs to solve (eg intakes many npcs u seen b4 like Lazim from newest quest etc) 3)Requiring you to use basically every skill, but at a level of 40+ 4)Requiring you to use about 5 or 6 at lvl 60+ 5)Requiring you to use 1 or 2 skills at lvl 80+ 6)Requiring you to use ALL combat classes 7)An uber puzzle to rival me2 8)A big boss battle to equal/rival fight caves 9)An extreme reward 10)Good jagex humours story line 11)Tie in goings on from early quests that seemt o have gone nowhere 12)Take atleast like a week to do 13)Be fun OK thats a bit Uber UBERED!! hope in 100th quest, Me3 comes out, or A Dragonkin quest. i just like quest and waiting to arive 200 quest points :) Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness? Click here to go to our forums, and say hi ^^lol one of the biggest pvp updates of the year, and tip it is discussing granite
January 30, 200620 yr Definetly yes, But I would like it to be REALLY HARD Desert treasure is still easy as hell -.- I mean what was the lowest lvl doing it again ? like 36 or so. I'm Finally 99 mage ^^ (and cooking...) :PSilver24-7 -
January 30, 200620 yr The latest batch of quests ie. devious minds seem to be very short - should not even count as a quest - MEP2 was the last decent quest realeased imo. I'd like to see MEP3 or the sequel to devious minds amount to something... I like the fact that they are taking thier time and sequeling the quests but i think a few are due to a close in theme - ie. do not wish to see a MEP4, MEP5, etc.... get's to be like bad movie sequels. Three or four parts is best for a story line... we've already run thru like 6 with the elves/mourners. I do not use a guide ... some quest seem rather long while other short for what they entail in rewards and theme. I don't think a super long quest is good nor is a short one. Something inbetween is what they need... and not with the difficultly of the quest being the travel either - most of the time in mm and dt was the travel and not the actual time to deal with puzzles or bosses... mep2 and the pass were very good keeping you centralized.
January 31, 200620 yr I'd like to see a quest that tests you in as many aspects as possible, and was quite long with a good story. High level requirements for me are a must; if it comes out and I can do it immediately, I won't be happy. All my skills are 53 or above, with I think 5 below 70. Not to mention requiring certain other "difficult" quests be completed or at least have a very high QP requirement( say like the current max of 190) to even start. This would give higher levels something to do that only they could do while giving mid-to lower levels something to work for. Of course, if it has such high requirements, the quest itself should be taxing. I'm against fighting high leveled monsters(mainly because I lag too much to kill many of the most dangerous monsters) but I can deal with it. There should be some puzzles like or surpassing those of Recruitment Drive, possibly something of ME2 proportions. There should also be some riddles, and some other things that test your knowledge of RuneScape. Like maybe some vague description of a place you need to go or person you need to talk to. It should also be rather long (perhaps as time consuming as both Me1 and Me2 if not moreso) and have a good, riveting storyline. I don't think that the typical Jagex humor would work well in a quest like this, unless it was for some sort of comic relief(like the gnomes who make fun of you when you get caught by monkey guards in MM). Most people disagree with me on this, but I also think the quest should require a lot of travel. I like seeing a lot of RuneScape in quests, half the fun of One Small Favour for me was traveling to places I typically ignored.. Of course, I would much rather this implemented at least a few new areas. With all the above, the reward should be great. Perhaps a new area that offers excellent training opportunities for many skills. Make it a place that everyone who has done the quest would want to visit many, many times to further their skills. Make it as useful as Ardougne and Seer's if not moreso. Perhaps have special high-leveled items for sale in the shops in this new area (like equipment that requires 80 or so levels in appropriate skills to wield). These items should mark people who have done this quest, like Legends' Cape does for those who did Legends. Not to mention there should be some really, really high EXP reward for all skills involved in the quest. In short, I want a quest that few would be able to do right off the bat, and that once complete, would be something to brag about. Even then, I think this quest should be difficult enough so that relatively few people can do it, even several months from its initial release. Instead of being like Legends where now most people have those silly white capes...
January 31, 200620 yr Definetly yes, But I would like it to be REALLY HARD Desert treasure is still easy as hell -.- I mean what was the lowest lvl doing it again ? like 36 or so. Level 36? I seriously doubt that, sorry. All the times I almost died during that quest... not to mention you absolutly need 43 prayer to complete it. It's simply not possible to walk through a ton of level 120+ trolls in multicombat, not to mention the level 130+ wolves, without protection from melee. And with level 43 prayer and just 70 range you would be at level 39... and that's not including hitpoints. If you would explain how that claim could be true, I'd be happy to believe you. Anyway, I think we need some quests with level 200+ monsters for the higher levels. There have never been any quest monsters even near that. There needs to be.
