Yeap so this week my mom's outlook express died so instead of reinstalling it she hired some guy to take our computer and fix it. So about 4 days later, we get our computer back, and the computer fixer decided it would be a good idea to...delite everything to make more space for my mom's outlook express. (before I had 1 gig of free space which was the most free space i've had in years!) Now i have 2 out of 20 gigabytes! Yey

So all my video games were deleted, which i mean makes me mad but it's ok I can live. About 800 songs have been deleted but that's still pretty bad but i'll manage with online radios.

But what's killing me is all my schoolwork has been delited ugghhhhh so i've gotta re write a story that's due tuesday yeeeeyy thank you.

What's killing me the worst is that over the last 3 years i've been taking screenshots of good runescape memories. I had 700 pictures, some for new future story posts, some for a new sig, about 100 for a post i had been writing for a year. Alll gone. Soo yep all my memories of rs are lost which sucks

Thankkk you! :) :)

Another reason why I've learned how to fix my own computer. I refuse to spend hundreds of dollars to give it to a technician.

That's one reason I hate to turn to professional repairmen. They're just too quick to pull out formatting as a fix-all tool. I know time is money and all that, but sometimes if they'd just pay a little more attention...

Lol. When I was at a get together, one my friends locked another friend in a closet. The one inside clicked what he thought was a light switch, but no light came on.

The next morning, the people at the house were all freezing cold. No heat was coming on. So they called the repair man. It turns out the switch my friend hit was for the furnace...The repair man came in, looked around, flicked the switch, and charged them $160. ...Hehehe.

I know one guy whose car got stuck in the snow and stalled they pushed it out of the snow but he couldn't get it to start. He called a tow truck had it towed to a repair shop just to find out that the car was still in drive. The repair shop didn't charge him but he had to pay $200 for the tow.

^ I was gonna say, I think even an Essex wife is capable of doing that herself
Is Outlook Express a program that you can uninstall/reinstall like Microsoft Word where you just put in a disc and follow the instructions that come up? I'm getting the impression that it's around that easy; and if it is then that is sad.

This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.

Outlook actually comes in the same bundle as Word if I'm not mistaken... :P

ALL that just for outlook? Outlooks not even that good :o

you shouldent pay peeps to fix your computer, i would have done it for free =0.

@GuitarPlayer40: You sig is too high :x

And lmao at that story. It sucks, but i've learnt to be redundant in saving files. Even if some versions are older than others - at least i still got it.. somewhere. Kind of had to do that for uni anways :(

But all that just for outlook, i'd complain :|

Yepp. I guess i should have taken the initiative, but it was exam week that whole week and i wasen't on my computer. I took a look at the problem and told my dad to try reinstalling the program, and then he told me he did and it didn't work.

It turns I assumed wrong and my dad just went to google and tried downloading like "MSOE.DLL" or something so ofcourse it woulden't work.

And yeepp...quicktime was super hard finding for windows ME, but after a hard 30 mins of searching i got it. But i miss my music :(

Well, you know, even if you did pay a man to do a medial task you don't expect him to get rid of all your work. I'd consider having words with this fellow.

You could still get your stuff back, us a program like un-erase, it's for mac but i bet theres somthing like it for pc
