Try the other themed world, I think it was 59. Played a few games earlier today and it had a similar amount of players to pre update world 24.

Castle Wars immediately disconnects for everyone in the waiting room as soon as the game starts, so everyone is left out. Way to test this out, Jagex.

Nobody said you had to do it. It's there for those who want to overachieve. The cape's examine speaks for itself.

I spent a little over a year doing castle wars for the 5000 games requirement. If you're going for the requirement, you'll find a way to do it as fast as possible. The 2000 odd games you need now is way easier.

 

This is nothing more than the ad hominem argument that Fallstar had. As for this sort of "over-achievement", I have absolutely no tolerance for it whatsoever. It's insanity, imposed on addicted and hapless players by depraved men and women like Jagex. It has absolutely no place in this game, or any other, as far as I am concerned.

What exactly are the flaws then? As you say, this is not a personal issue, so your personal opinion that it takes too long is therefore a non issue. Objectively, what is wrong with the CW requirement requiring so much time? As I said earlier, I have problems with it - just not with how long it takes.

 

The flaws within it from an in-game perspective, as well as perspective for the sake of real-life health view have been pointed out numerous times. If they haven't convinced you thus far, nothing will. As far as I am concerned, this sort of thing borders far past ridiculous and cruel, and Jagex should be ashamed of themselves for ever having implemented this; if not out of a sense of decency, then at least some notion of common sense. They should also be ashamed of their intransigence on this matter. People often do stupid things or make mistakes; but for them to make this mistake and do nothing on the matter for years, and then only to make this most ridiculous of "adjustments" is a disgrace.

Don't be silly. If they did that, the use of the sanitary napkin might actually distract you from RS for a moment or two; we can't have that now, can we? That's an XP waste, as the kids these days say.

I love xp wasting honestly as long as you are doing something that's productive.

Pretty sure it didn't.

It did not count the first time they updated Castle Wars. My hopes that they would finally fix it have been diminished. Submitted a bug report but we'll see if they bother fixing it.

 

Either that or Jagex has just decided I'm so awesome that I deserved extra tickets for the 450 games I played. Step back SOUMI, Quikdrawjoe in the house :P

I like this change.

I realize I'm a noob, but what is the significants of the 9.6 sec?

It used to be 5 seconds and it seems it doesn't stun anymore, only preventing movement now.

ice burst gives 2.4 sec freeze on players and that scales linearly to 9.6 with barrage.

 

What I saw suggested was:

-Fixing the steel titan

-Render issue on zamorak cape outside of CW

-Instanced CW

-Lingering effects from potions.

 

I also begged for the !callvote function :')

 

Great that they want playerfeedback.

Tie games is still the way to go with castle war since you can afk.

Despite you fine-printing it with 'joking'; I will address it anyway for those who might genuinely think it. When Dungeoneering came out, it was ridiculous and insane to expect people to go for 104M experience in one skill. However, it was gradually made extremely fast to train with each batch of floors, and post EoC, it is ridiculously easy to train. Oh, and Dungeoneering is actually fun. Very few mains actually loaf it or buy floors. Usually it is lower levels who leech.

Not to mention the useful perks that come out from dungeoneering! While most are small they add up and are nice additions.

Hey now, CW was fun too... until the trimmed completionist cape was released. >_>

Every time I got my hands on a new piece of gear (Sara Strike, ancient magics, white mystic, verac, granite maul, whip ... the list goes on and on lol) the first place I'd go to play with them would have been Castle Wars. Something about the PVP environment there kept drawing my 2005 self back for more.

 

Of course the players of the minigame just dwindled over time until it reached its sorry state now >_>
