The teaser pics would appear to be task hints given that one is inside temple trekking on the rsof thread.

So I'd assume the tip.it one is hinting at a task being to use the myreque tunnel in some way.

So, with the release of Morytanian tasks, will the leg armor complete the "task armor set"? Or will we still need to fill the necklace slot and get a "proper" weapon task reward? And there's still the ammo and aura slots left after that, but I find it highly unlikely they will be included. What about a belt slot some time in the future?

 

I hope we get tasks in the Kharidian Desert one of these days. I'd love an amulet that combines the cramulet with the enchanted water tiara, as well as infinite teleports to the camulet destination. Wilderness tasks would be interesting to see, too. Maybe you could get a weapon that increases in power the more wilderness PKs you have. Then you can spend some charges (akin to a DFS) for a powerful special attack of some sort.

 

We're definitely getting Daemonheim tasks eventually too...

 

Oh, and let's see how many Morytania tasks we can guess!! GO!!

 

-Cut down a bloodwood tree in Darkmeyer and fletch some bakriminel bolts (86 woodcutting, 93 fletching, Branches of Darkmeyer)

-Mix a prayer renewal potion using fellstalks and morchella mushrooms you grew yourself (92 farming, 94 herblore)

-Kill a vyrelord with a full powered-up blisterwood weapon (Branches of Darkmeyer, 500 burnt vyres)

-Get a special task from Duradel/Lapalok and slay every monster in Slayer Tower in one trip (85 slayer)

-Kill all 7 barrows brothers, Akrisae included! (Ritual of the Mahjarrat) Bonus points if task is named "Brother From Another Mother"

^ Cramulet seems awfully out of place for Morytanina tasks.

Camulet stems from the desert.

Monkeyspeak from Ape Atoll

Cat speak from Burthorpe

Ghostspeak from Lumbridge

Cramulet itself is a desert/monkey reward.

 

I mean sure ghostspeak has a fair few uses in the area, but its not really tied to the area.

Yeah, but they've had strong precedence of using things you obtain from other unrelated areas in the task area for a while now. *shrug*

 

There's no real point in nitpicking since we're all just guessing anyway :P

Really? I can't think of any non-generic items (eg ores etc that don't really have a specific origin region) used in another diary that don't originate from that area. That's why it stuck out to me as an unlikley suggestion.

I can't see this being one, most tasks involve doing something repeatable. Once hes cured he's cured forever. How would you complete the task if he's already been cured?

 

Also, one of the posts above has a good point, is the Polypore dungeon actually classed as being part of Morytania?

I stood on the island before and it came up as the Morytania area, so yeah, it'll probably be included.

Fairly easy aside from the fact to date we have never had any auto-complete if already done tasks and when originally asked about them jmods said it wouldn't work due to engine limitations. Plus the lack of any precedent for an 'alternate' solve for a task.

Well, after this task set, we only got amulet and weapon left (If there is a weapon) assuming there are no bolts or aura (Which would make no sense imo). And I like to think that amulet will be given by perhaps, Desert area tasks? and weapon by Daemonheim (Although I don't really see a point doing a task set here)

amulet will most likely be Daemonheim, hopefully it can be taken into dungs for some kind of benifit? I don't think we will see a weapon as the excal pretty much covers that.

Honestly I really hate the headband as the headpiece to this armor. Maybe they could make the Excalibur be the official weapon and be upgraded each level of Seers Diary while freeing up the head slot for somewhere more deserving.

i guess so, i was thinking it could maybe restore your pray points once per dung or save a death once per dung, kinda like the karamja set with jad

It's been confirmed that the last Elf quest will be released with a task set for the whole area so I would assume that one of the remaining slots will be filled there.

I've also heard (not sure if true) that the dungeoneering task set would not provide an overworld item reward, but potentially an item for in-dungeon use. Which makes the most sense, as nothing goes in or out of a dungeon (not counting numerous glitches).

I wonder if they'd ever consider a diary reward for the aura slot. That'd work great for DG, what with not conflicting with anything already in there.

 

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing how much TT we'll need to do for this, though doubt it'l be full completion (since thats a trimmed comp req already). I'll just have to remember to plant fellstalk and morchella on tuesday morning atleast :D
