Schwarzenegger
Associated Press. LODI, Calif. - When a dump truck backed into Curtis Gokey's car, he decided to sue the city for damages. Only thing is, he was the one driving the dump truck. But that minor detail didn't stop Gokey, a Lodi city employee, from filing a $3,600 claim for the December accident, even after admitting the crash was his fault. After the city denied that claim because Gokey was, in essence, suing himself, he and his wife, Rhonda, decided to file a new claim under her name. City Attorney Steve Schwabauer said this one also lacks merit because Rhonda Gokey can't sue her own husband. "You can sue your spouse for divorce, but you can't sue your spouse for negligence," Schwabauer said. "They're a married couple under California law. They're one entity. It's damage to community property." But Rhonda Gokey insisted she has "the right to sue the city because a city's vehicle damaged my private vehicle." In fact, her claim, currently pending at Lodi City Hall, is for an even larger amount ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢â∠Runescaper (off and on) since late 2001

Bmw
I think its relatively easy to find stupid stories like that on the news. Nothing new that need's to be posted imo. Why are you so caught up on what this world is coming to? There are hundreds upon hundreds of sickening stories out there daily, where is this one, or the HIV story, a place to start? Kinda useless using such stories to validate your point, which is an obvious one as it is. Try a topic which we can all talk about, such as: Do you think the world has always been like this? Full of sickos? Or has it recently emerged? Perhaps it's simply getting worse? Or maybe more media attention? Do we notice it now more than ever because we're old enough to understand it, or because the media chooses to report these idiotic stories simply because they think it makes for more interesting news? Maybe more website hits for upping this one perhaps? Ok...well, that's not really a question, kinda my opinion somehow rolled into a question. I'm sure you get my point though, these stories are nothing new. The world has been full of sickos forever, crying over "what this world is coming to" simply isn't necessary. :? Mercifull
Blame culture. No one will admit something is their own fault anymore. Its the same as in the "fat kids" topic. Parents wont take the blame that its their own fault for feeding thier kids mcdonalds everyday that they are fat. How2PK
Wasn't there some man who sued himself before? That guy, who thought the manufacturing of Mars involved child-labour, so he ate a Mars and sued himself for eating a mars manufactured by children or something. Atleast, I read that somewhere, but I can't find anything about it. Does this sound familiar to somebody else? Or am I dreaming? :?
