Where are you going to College/University?

@Omishlash:

Yep, I added up my net charges to date:

AU$14,839.76 ($3709.94 per year)

US$10,819.70 ($2704.92 per year)

Even if I factored in the cost of living on campus for a year..

4 & 5 room flats: $105p/w

6 room flats: $104p/w

7 room flats: $101p/w

8 room flats: $99 p/w

So thats perhaps another 5K per year depending on which option you take.

Which is another AU$21,840 (US$15,923.50 - max) over 4 years.

Resulting in a net total of AU$36,679.76 (US$26,743.20).

There are other once-off fees which put another $800 or so into the cost, and there is things like food and whatnot, but meah. Still a damn sight cheaper than the USA

@Death_By_Pod: Really? Can't say I'm suprised. Personally I think Griffith is a bit of a hole (then again I think a lot of places are a hole, so that doesn't say much). But yeah, we just can't be arsed wiping notes off the boards. Had a lecture once, lecturer put her mobile number on the board. Came back the next week, it was still there.

Go us, lol.

Second year in Ryerson Polytechnic Unversity part of the Image Arts program. I wanna get out!

Anyways, during my highschool years of grade 12, I had applied to 2 other unversities; University of Toronto and 'Ontario College of Art and Design' (OCAD - it's really a university not a college). Surprisingly, both UOFT and Ryerson accepted my application whilst OCAD rejected mine. They didn't give any reasons - it really blew me away. #-o

Away :( -cheers all!

KUL; Catholic University Leuven. I'm going to my 3rd year of applied economics, or commercial engineer, whatever you'd like to call it.

Even though the uni has nothing to do with Catholicism these days, it used to be a great advantage for universities to be catholic. Financial and political support, plus having the name of being a trustworthy university. The others were often not taken seriously.

The KUL was founded in 1425; that makes it the oldest Catholic Uni in the world and one of the oldest overall.

Probably the most notable effort our uni has brought the world was the founding of professional surgery and medical research. Before the physician Anreas Vesalius, medical research was based on biblical knowledge and very primitive Greek and Roman manuscripts.

Andreas was fascinated by the human body and, although it was strictly forbidden by the church, he wanted to know how our bodies really functioned.

So he stole the bodies of condemned murderers, who had been hung earlier that day, and cut them open to study the human body. That bold move allowed him to explain many of our body's functions and eventually to cure the malfunctions of it.

His most famous book, De humani corporis fabrica (On the Workings of the Human Body), was the first book that described the insides of the body. When he was offered a seat in the KUL, anatomy finally became a legit object of study, even though it was still pretty much condemned by the Church.

Up to this day, the KUL, is still one of the leading centres of knowledge concerning medical research and development.

A few other important alumni: Mercator; father of modern carthography and geography, Erasmus and Lipsius; the founders of humanism, and Lemą̮̉̉tre; father of the Big Bang theory, along with an entire list of important people that proved spacial stuff :-s

Bill Hicks[/url]":dhj2kan9]Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is, that it is vibrating. And since all vibrations are theoretically sound, then it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be perceived as such.

The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak.

In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak, the Enrichment Center urges you to disregard its advice.

I'm going to Clarkson University in New York. It's one of the top 10 colleges for business studies in the United States.

Sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Currently attending the University of California, Irvine.

Absolutely love it here. The weather is amazing the beach is 5 miles away and the people are just really chill. I'm very happy here although some people complain that there are too many Asians here.

idk about much of u but im in middle school 7th grade so ive not even thought about that yet but im hoping for university of louisville in kentucky go cards!

Yeah, I'm only a freshman in high school but I've still given some thought to the matter. Penn State University or Princeton are probably my two top choices. Depends on what career path I think I may want to take. MIT would be nice but I don't think I can make it into there.

Used to attend a community college, applied for UC Berkeley and UC Riverside as they are the only two UCs that have my major.

UC Berkeley rejected me.

So in about two weeks, I'll be at the University of California - Riverside majoring in Business Administration. Hopefully I can graduate within a year and a half... Am also hoping to persue a law degree after this. :)

Boston College, great school, great athletics, great city. Glad i went here, don't have to pay much either. Quite happy, though it is a bit too far away from home.

I'd like to go to AIIM (Art Institutes International Minnesota) in Minneapolis MN.

Would like to major in Photography, and maby go on to be a photo journalist, or something of that nature.

I'm in my third year at the University of Scranton, majoring in accounting and probably minoring in Criminal Justice.

Scranton is a nice sized city, plus its within driving distance of Philadelphia and Syracuse.

Awwwwwwwww, this makes me so sad. I've got another year before 9th grade, so I never really thought about university much. Maybe UBC or MUN(University of British Columbia and Memorial University of Newfoundland)

Oh man, Newfoundland is gorgeous.

As for me, I'm going to Brock University. It's a small school, only 15000 students, but my program (first year comp. sci) is extremely well done; I have no complaints whatsoever.

I went to Brock for a 4 day field trip in grade 8, seemed to be a great school.

As for me, I will be going to University, only in grade 9 so I have no clue which at the moment.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

Because of financial reasons, I stayed in the city and I go to baruch college. Its a pretty good business school, or they say...

Free education plus I get extra money, once I clear up my financial aid.

I'm at Dawson College CEGEP... a quite unpleasant place that was made up yesterday.

It used to be a large public and confortable public school that I've been almost for 2 years until the Shooting.

Man, I couldn't even think that happened right next to Library and outside of the school. Anyhow, it seems noone would care if that was a Canadian Columbine.

-=Aznhuskarl=- Cleric

-=20Cent=- Juggernaught

More to come...

Well after high school, i plan on going to

To get some sort of science degree (Havent decided yet). Plus it is also in my city \' .

After, i wish to go to Brock University to get my teaching degree, and become a top notch teacher :P

I still cant get the stupid link to just have text :(

I'm at Wesleyan University (a small liberal arts school; 2800 students) studying math :D

I love it to a ridiculous degree, and if anyone has any questions about it, feel free to ask :D

Everybody hug and spread the love :D

I'll end up at MSUM (Mankato State University, Mankato; not Minneapolis/St. Paul :P) at some point, I'm sure. Next year I'll probably start out at the local technical college to freshen up on my math so I can pass college algebra...That's my only obsticle. :'(

The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past.

- Me!

well, it's English college so i'm not sure if it is the equivelent to American, but I just started Barnet College in London

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.
