Where are you going to College/University?

Featured Replies

I'll end up at MSUM (Mankato State University, Mankato; not Minneapolis/St. Paul :P) at some point, I'm sure. Next year I'll probably start out at the local technical college to freshen up on my math so I can pass college algebra...That's my only obsticle. :'(

I might be visiting there in the next few weeks :P

I really have to get started looking at more colleges. I want to look at some places around the Twin Cities first and then start looking and colleges in neighboring states. The only one I have seriously looked at is Wartbug College in Waverly Iowa. ( not sure if anyone here has even heard of it =p)

So if anyone knows of any nice colleges I should visit around the Twin Cities I would be grateful. ( I know there are a few Minnesotans out there  )

Boston College, great school, great athletics, great city. Glad i went here, don't have to pay much either. Quite happy, though it is a bit too far away from home.

Not exactly. Well, actually, yes, but no.

Boston College is mainly in Newton...Which is an excellent city. But I'm assuming you're saying that Boston is a great city, which it isn't exactly.

Anyways, I've got a few years until college...But I already know where I want to go.

In this order...

MIT - All my friends want to go there. Few, if not none, will make it, but I can at least try.

Harvard - My dad works at HSPH (School of Public Health). I've been to Harvard Square many times and it's a nice place. Not to mention a good amount of my friends want to go there too.

Boston University - My mom went there for medical school or something. I can always follow her.

National Taiwan University - Both my parents went here. The hospital is also where I was born. Not to mention Taiwan is pwnage and that I want to eventually move back there.

Boston College - If all else fails, I suppose I always have BC.

Two years from now I hope to go to Glasgow Caledonian University to study optometry and then I'll hopefully have a good few years during my probations then, if I'm confident enough, become a locum optometrist and make big bucks. If no, I'll hopefully find a small opticians where I can work from 9-5 and work there 'till retirement age.

I've got to get 5 Bs at Higher to gain entry and since Glasgow Caledonian is the only place that teaches this course in Scotland, it's gonna be pretty damn competitive. :ohnoes:

Either Univeristy of Iowa or University of Hawaii (depending on whether or not my dad decides to get a place out there. I don't want to pay the extra for being out of state).

I'm going to be Junior in high school this year but when I'm out of school I'm probably planning on going to the Musician's Institute in Hollywood.

Pretty recently they made it so that you can now take all other classes like you could in any other college so it's not just a place for music, you can still take any classes you want.

And since my Dad was a Marine in the Gulf War I can get in free :D

And I mean it's in Hollywood, how cool is that?

I'm going to grade 12 next year, but my future looks promising as long as I play my best in sports and excel in my academics. I am promised to get a full 1 year scholarship in University of Michigan playing for the hockey team [if I do well within that 1 year, they'll renew my scholarship] and a full 4 year scholarship in Queen's University. But, I really want to go to Harvard to study business. So, I have to see how this will work out for me because it's tempting to take the scholarships, but I'm not sure just yet...

Texas Tech University, one of the best schools in Texas. It has one of the better History departments in the US, and definitely the best Teacher Training Program in the Southwest.

Located in Lubbock, Texas, the home of rock legend Buddy Holly. And yes, we are the city from "The Day the Music Died."

The campus is beautiful, and the architecture is Spanish Mediterranean.

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

Went to Delft University of Technology. Got my MSc degree in chemical engineering in 1998. Eeeep, almost 10 years ago already :-s

If not many people respond to this, I'll probably just make a topic because I feel the need to brag but

Did any of you guys catch the Michigan vs Appalachian State game  ? I would just like to say that I am a proud Mountaineer, and I couldn't believe my eyes when we blocked that field goal to beat Michigan. I was watching the game on campus with like 500 other people and it was CRAAAAZZAAYYY. It was probably the best feeling I've had.

Rumor around campus is it is possible App could be voted into the AP Top 25 teams in the nation
