Kalphite
And I just bought Underoath; They're Only Chasing their Safety. Eh, the only Underoath I like is Lost in the Sounds of Separation. My copy of Land Bridge by Isthmus came in today. It is incredible. The easiest I could describe it is Cult of Luna meets Between the Buried and Me and writes shorter songs. I really would recommend it if that sounds interesting, it's only about $10 from their myspace.

How2PK
Sumpta! Long time now see. How are you doing? Hi there, long time indeed! I'm fine, I'm fine. You? And by the by: James Mason! I have searched the whole of London to find a dvd of the Seventh Veil with Mason, but no such luck... Good to hear you're doing well. I'm doing alright, as usual. James Mason, yes, who doesn't love him. Have you seen Bigger than Life? He's so good in there. He's got some pretty good lines though ("God was wrong!" he says when his wife reminds him that God saved Isaac by telling Abe not to kill him), but he brings it with so much conviction that it's almost scary. The Seventh Veil hasn't been released on DVD, so that explains why you couldn't find it. ;) It's coming out in the UK this may! So only a few more months, and then you can find it all over London. Sumpta
The Seventh Veil's coming out on dvd? Oh, you made my day, it's been on my rapidly expanding "why can't I find this anywhere?" wish list for forever now! It has many many faults, but Mason's acting in it is just mind-boggling. Haven't seen Bigger than Life, I'll put it on my pick-up list for my next order.
How2PK
Ah, good to hear you are enthousiastic about this movie (or more: mason). I'd never heard of it, I'll get it when it comes out. Always good to hear Mason speak new lines. : Phantastic Phantom of the Opera poster by the way! Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Lenticular_J
Oh, Inverted World (LP) by The Shins. Love 'em. I found Amazon's vinyl store today. They take a little while to ship, but I'm very impressed. For (mostly) ten bucks a record (my pop also has free shipping on most everything), [bleep]ing fantastic condition. Almost all 180 gram, too, which I love. I might be swooning. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Lateralus
Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible The Cure - Pornography Jesu - Silver Slowdive - Just for a Day Nice mix, I think. I really hate Bruce Springsteen, but Nebraska is so dark and fantastic. Not his usual fist pounding cheese rock. La lune ne garde aucune rancune. How2PK
Aw, you really hate Springsteen? Have you heard Darkness on the Edge of Town and the Wild the Innocent and the E-Street Shuffle? Is that a Lucian Freud painting by the way, on the Manic Street Preachers album? Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Lateralus
It's not actually Springsteen I dislike I suppose - It's the E Street Band. I'm not sure if I've heard the stuff you mentioned. The Manic's cover does look like it could be by Lucien Freud, doesn't it? I just looked it up and it's by an artist called Jenny Saville. La lune ne garde aucune rancune. How2PK
Yea, I immediately had to think of his nudes. Good stuff. The Manic Street Preachers, are they any good ( ) I never listened to them before. The Wild, the Innocent and the E-Street Shuffle is such a good record! It's not really like the big stadium Springsteen (although I don't think there's much wrong with that either). It's one of his earlier works, and he's experimenting more trying to find the right sound. It's full of childhood memories and so, but then not the Brian Adams Summer of '69 kind of childhood memories. It's pure and real! It's funny! It's got flaws! It's something you could hear in a dirty, half-empty, small bar somewhere near a beach (if that makes any sense...) on a hot evening, you walk outside, hear the music and just get dragged in! There's one of the really outgoing songs described by you as fist pounding cheese rock, but it's so charming and innocent that you can't do anything else than love it. : Man, I like this album. The Manic Street Preachers, are they any good ( ) I never listened to them before. The Manics' early stuff is good, the 3 albums they made with Richey James Edwards, before he vanished off the face of the planet. Holy Bible is their best album. La lune ne garde aucune rancune. 1_man_army
Ordered I don't know why I went on a Scorsese/Religious film route, they just happened to be going cheap in the Play.com sale.
