WookieeMania12
Is In Rainbows good? I've been considering buying it along with my Shins package. Its pretty good. It has a cleaner sound than previous Radiohead albums and hopefully if you don't mind it, you'll get a kick out of Rainbows. How2PK
a little book on Rio Bravo and Howard Hawks by, the supposedly famous, Robin Wood. I'm a noob when it comes to film criticism. I was reading up on To Have an Have Not, and really like the author. It turnedout to be Robin Wood. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! das
How did I just find this thread? :o I freaking love movies My last 5 dvd purchases From Amazon From Wal-mart From Familyvideo.com "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. 1_man_army
How did I just find this thread? :o I thought you were supposed to be all seeing and all knowing as an admin. This thread could have been a front for distributing drugs right under your nose for all you knew lol. Anyway, what's on that 2nd disk of Citizen Kane? I only have the single disk version. das
a 2 hour documentary "The battle over citizen kane". Amazon had it for 9.99 last week so it was a no brainer buy. How2PK
I should really replace my Citizen Kane with that warner 2-disc, mine doesn't even get the image right.  Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! das
For the 9.99 it was on sale for, it was a terrific deal. I've never seen the one disk hit my normal limit for movies 5.00-7.50 and with super saver shipping, you get to get it shipped free for an order of 25. If you got a big lots nearby, you may still be able to find RKO 281 Which is an hbo original film about the making of citizen kane. I think it won some awards as well. Amazon still has the sale ongoing, 11.99 for Kane now but i would of bought it for that too. - Been thinking of picking up Ben Hur for 7.99 or [bleep] tracey for 6.99. Only problem ALOT of the dvd's in that "Award winner" sale keep showing up at big lots for $3. so argh. Any of you guys use dvdaf or anything to manage your collections? Here is mine http://das.dvdaf.com/owned As I am well aware, I do have some [cabbage]ty movies in there. and my tastes vary quite a bit. But thats my collection. My most wanted DVD'S are Gi Joe Season two Volume 1, and to kill a mockingbird. I also plan to pick up family guy and king of the hill when someone has a superb deal on them. I'm really running out of freaking room though. Argh "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. indy500fan
I used to use DVD profiler but then they started to charge for basic functionality, so now I just kind of use amazon's what you own list.
How2PK
I live in Holland, so I don't enjoy much of that good deal, I also don't have that super shipping stuff. :( I've got Rko 281, it's entertaining, but kind of twists things. What edition of Ben-Hur is it? The four disc? That one also has the orignal '25 version with it! I picked it up at an amazon sale last year for something like 16 bucks. I don't have a dvd collection online anymore, I used to have invelos, but they wanted money for that so I kind of dropped it. I've got some pictures of my collection though. (I just hate my lack of space) (This picture is a bit vague, I'm not much of a photographer as you may have seen :P) but next to the Masters of Cinema DVD's are: Apu trilogy, Satyajit Ray collection vol. 1 + 2, Un Chien Andalou, LAge Dor, Luis Bunuel Collection, Exterminating Angel, Los Olvidados, El, Ensayo de un crimen, Bill Douglas trilogy, Kenneth Anger vol. 1 + 2, Franz Zwartjes, Maya Deren) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! das
It looks like the snapper case bare bones version. Awesome pic's man. Some killer boxsets and lots of stuff i've never seen before. But I noticed the captain N dvd and the naked gun triology, so have good taste in my book. I dont know if you buy used or not, But i Know lots of euros on dvdtalk use secondspin.com - every so often thier is an unadvertised discount code "heynow" with free shipping and 20% off (its for fans of howard stern), I've ordered from them quite a bit and never had any problem. Sometimes stuff is used, sometime's it's new, but i noticed they have 11 in stock for 11.99 too. You region two fellows are lucky, some of my MOST wanted dvd's are on region two only like the iron man, spiderman, x-men 90s cartoons. At least the x-men one is getting released. I always hate when I see a region 1 boxset that is far cheaper than our equivalent. ____
Happens in Australia aswell, when I got my Blade Runner collection, I got it off Amazon for almost half the price than it was here. A lot of my region 1/2 dvd's were a lot cheaper than in Austrlia (inc shipping) now that I think about it... kind of sucks but whatever.
