warri0r45
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet Great CD. Love them lots. Also try In Absentia if you haven't already.
Jernlov
On the topic of PT, yeah, the releases after Steve was influenced by Opeth and Meshuggah (among others) are solid stuff. I like Fear of a Blank Planet the best out of that period I think, followed by Deadwing and then In Absentia; not because In Absentia is bad - it's the fact that it was the first album of that style and it seemed somewhat immature compared to Deadwing and FoaBP. I do, however, really love Signify/Stupid Dream era Porcupine Tree. They had an excellent psych/prog sound back then, and I would like an album that blends that style with metal rather than another "heavy" record. If you're into Signify/Stupid Dream era Porcupine Tree then check out Pineapple Thief. OT; I haven't ordered anything new in a while, but I have about £150 to spend so I'll buy something soon. Lenticular_J
Yaaaay. I bought a Blue Oyster Cult and a Steve Miller Band record at a shop today. Pretty good, although I might take the Blue Oyster Cult one back. 1) It's live, and the crowd is noisy as [bleep]. 2) There's a scratch on side A. I have yet to play it, so I don't know if it effects it, but, whatever. Should be getting my Shins soon. :) EDIT: Well, soon being between January 20th and the 23rd. Curses. Amazon hath failed me. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

1_man_army
The Player is such a great film, 1MA! Have you seen it before? Yeah, I'd seen it a few years back on tv and liked it but it's one of those films that gets better when you have more to bring to it. The ending is one of those brilliant twists that brings the whole film to a full circle. edit - Those Cassavetes films are pretty awesome as well, I got them in another boxset that had the 2 seperate cuts of Killing of a Chinese Bookie in it instead of the documentary. How2PK
Yea, it's full of inside jokes as well. The more you know the funnier it gets. Yea, those Cassavetes films. I really love them, seeing Faces for the first time was quite an experience. The Criterion box has got the two cuts of Killing as well, btw. Indy, Werckmeister is one of my favorites as well. It did drop a little bit though. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

aquariusman
A bit late, but picked up the Operation Ivy discography a month ago (Fit on 1 CD  ), along with The Bronx by The Bronx. The Operation Ivy discog was amazing of course, can't quite say the same about The Bronx, although White Guilt is possibly of the my favourite songs. (Both are punk/ska). There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. How2PK
Sumpta! Long time now see. How are you doing? the Vincente Minnelli version, with the great Waltz! More Minnelli! What kind of music is that; How2PK? And I just bought Underoath; They're Only Chasing their Safety. The first one is the Crying Light by Antony and the Johnsons. It's a pop album, with an experimental edge, it also has got a lot of classical influences. This one is very minimalistic, has a lot of natural sounds to it. The Animal Collective is kind of hard to say and Damien Jurado is Folk. ;) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
