Completely stupid. No exceptions. Whenever I see someone asking for a bf/gf, I report them immediately.

Don't blame me if this is a lame topic, but I got bored and decided to post something...

 

Apparently, you see pretty much in Lumbridge these lvl3 girls (or claim to be girls) saying "press 111 if you want a hot gf" and usually, guys press 111 obviously most of the time.

 

 

 

In other cases, there are times where there are high level people who date and are actually mature about it...They dont beg for items, it's just fun online dating for them.

 

 

 

The question is: What do you think of RS dating?

 

 

 

My answer: If it's lvl3 and whatever "dating" I think it's plain stupid tbh...However, if it's like high lvl people dating and all, as long as they are both mature about it, I say sure why not...Let people have fun, after all it's a game...

It's against the rules to randomly ask for bf/gf, I think mature dating is allowed tho.

It depends, If I see people typing "Press 111 for bf/gf" then it's just freakin stupid but if they've been friends for a long time and have gotten to know each other IRL then I think it's cool and fine for example tripsis and dork or zezima and eliastep or w/e her name is that's cool with me.

Yes, I do agree that it is weird or nerdy or whatever it is you want to call it, I made this topic cuz I know a couple of RS friends (wont mention names) that "date" on RS, but I don't tell them "Omg your a nerd!" or "Go out and get a real gf!" I think it's kinda weird, yes, but if that's what they want to do, let them.

 

 

 

Personally, I never do want to have a gf in RS because of the fact that they try to scam you by saying that they want money and all that, lol. I stay alone and I intend to keep it that way.

I'm not against it. I just think 99% of the time it's an artificial thing rs players for some reason need to experience and just get out of their system.

While we didn't "date" in the game, me and my partner found each other there for the first time. There were also several occasions on Runescape players marrying in real life. Ask anybody who were around when Jagex posted it on the news several years ago.

"Dating" between low-level beggars and mid-level players is pretty pathetic. Now, if a couple of lvl 3's want to date and have a blast, go for it.

 

 

 

Dating as a whole, however, is not completely lost on RS players. I tend to joke about a "relationship" between myself and any of a number of female RS friends I train with. There are probably also those people who begin real, valued relationships with people they met online. That's always cool.

I agree. Personally, if it's done seldomly, then sure. However, if it's done too much by one person, like constantly hopping from gf to gf online and so forth, that's when it gets kinda sad. If both people are mature about it and actually talk and so forth to each other a lot, it's somewhat possible for people to maintain a relationship or whatever, as long as they don't let it affect their real life. Whatever is done in the game, stays in the game IMO.
