In original rs i was a pure so i did my pking at castle or bandits, i didn't pk at altar, so i didn't recognize it.

I was juts asking a question, I mean the alter hasn't changed tht much. I nvr made it there back in rsc and I recognised it.

although the movie revolved around the altar, it was just a running theme, ALOOOOTT more is going on it, for people with your view id hope theyd go back and rewatch it to see the many other issues it brings up, in the end its not about the altar, thats just used to express a larger arguement, i dont throw anything in to be 'cute' and im actually pretty surprised youd think i would

 

 

 

the change to the altar/alter(depending how much you respect the language and how jagex dictates its spelled) would represent more than just pking, recognize what we need to do in order to get it changed and then you realize whats really going on;)

well i posted it on about 70-90 clanboards, i dont know the exact number, i signed up for tons but not all ov em authed me; the video was made to represent our progression, the "there will be miracles, at the last war is won" life comes with the visual ov the RDA vs GSA war, which wasnt this pre-thought up war, it was this meeting ov 6 clans in the wilderness who decided to stop fighting eachother and team up against those who they felt were the biggest thread(rsd di anarchy vs gladz silent assassins and some other alliance clans? i forget the 6th) so i thought people might realize it as a running theme, ya know through it i try to show off clans as important, but then i put in ep thompsons quote about how sure we can hate eachother, i mean what is the class war? the longest running most terrible death ridden bloody politically destructive war in the history ov the world, if perhaps one ov the most important historians about the first modern class war can say THAT, we can unify to make things better while sitll fighting eachother

An amazing amount of effort must have been put into this. I too am having trouble connecting the different images together but the msg is getting more comprehensive everytime. The music is excellent and even though i never pked in classic i get this msg of 'better times', so i shall support this and hope u achieve your desired outcome. :)

The kind of message that I got from it, at least from reading your inital post, was basically to join together so that we can make changes in RS. Like you said, one person making a suggestion isn't going to affect what happens, but this video that you posted might be so huge that we could get enough people for Jagex to notice, and we might be able to make a change. Btw, what was the change you guys wanted in thieving when RS2 came out? Thieving used to be my favorite skill on RSC, and now that every other skill got easier, it's one of my least favorites.

 

 

 

As for the message I got from the video, I just saw it as comparing parts of RSC to RS2, but I know that's only on the literal level. I think that we aren't a very "visually literate" culture. The movies and T.V shows that are currently out are mostly abunch of crap when it comes down to it. Also, in school at least with my experiences, we don't learn to interpret things we see in videos. The only time we actually do this is in the advanced english classes, but it is only helping our "literature literacy" not really the visual.

 

 

 

Great job on the video though, it was amazingly put together. I know you didn't just want it to be a video that was well put together, and the message we got from it was more important, so I'm sorry I didn't quite get the message. I enjoy reading your threads/posts as I have been doing so for a couple of years. It's always nice to read posts of a fellow "RSC-product."

:) Wow...I'm so impressed that you created a subtitled version for the hearing impaired...Brat was able to watch with me and we both understand what you're trying to get across.Thank you so much for taking the time to do that version! I think it's a bit rougher for folks who were never really part of RSC to begin with...and those who haven't been around for very long. Those of us who have been around since the beginning of the game..or at least close to the beginning...have felt the struggles and changes and mood shifts within the jagex staff ...which wasn't really considered a staff in the beginning...They were considered Andrew and Paul...and so on...Names. Now it's JAGEX this, JAGEX that...and I think that people are not seeing it as all that approachable as far as suggesting things, or pushing for older suggestions...The RS community is seeing Jagex as more of "THEM" and not "those cool guys who made this game" now. I think that involving clans and banding people together to be united in our suggestions of how possible new things can be done, or old things done better is an excellent idea... It isn't necessarily about PK'ing, but the clans are already banded and experienced in presenting a united front within themselves...so if they use that unification to appeal to Jagex with ideas, so much the better!

I remember with fondness the good 'ol days of RS1 and how fun the game was back then, even though people looked like cardboard cutouts lol... Thats enough nostalgia... However, it looks like JAGeX has finally listened to player's suggestions and made another wildy minigame with some new movement options in the wildy.... I love the video, and you're right, it did make my day and ill remember it forever.

Thanks turtle, i've noticed the whole jagex this that thing; the prevailing notion seems to be that 'they' dont care, but we know that they do its just incredibly difficult for 'them' to care with all the BS suggestions being thrown at them, my rs suggestions thread is buried under 1000s ov others with ALOT ov support, but most ov the suggestions fall under two catagories: minor changes that random rs forum people support, and ideas that will never happen because they just take somuch developement time

 

 

 

alot ov people dont support my idea not because they dont like it, but because they dont feel it wont get anything done; this isnt the classic free rider problem, this is lazyness; it takes 2 minutes to log on rs forums and reply, and if we cant get our brothers and sisters to take 2 minutes to try well its hard to call them brothers and sisters then;)

 

 

 

as to it being socialist/communist propaganda, well im registered independant and ive never voted socialist, theres the old line from the one republican during the 50s "if it walks like a duck, it talks like a duck, it must be a duck" in relation to communists in unions, well if we look at history thats not true;)
