Do you have friends that think runescape is stupid and what do u so about them???

my girlfriend hates runescape, probably because i play it too much. i dont really care... she'll just have to cope with it :)

 

 

 

I give her enough attention tho..

I have friends that think its stupid, but i dont really care. Don't listen to people. Alot of people also dont like my music taste as I go to a prep school where everybody listens to hip hop while I choose to listen to thrash/death/all other types of metal. But yea, some people that use to play rs that i know still ask me how its going and what im up too on rs, but those that dont like it dont usually give me a hard time about it.

I know a person in my class who hates RuneScape. My friends aren't interested in it (not hate it) but I dont care. Only 1 friend (who told me about RS) used to play, until he quit.

my friends hate it too, one of em tease me n says its stupid, but i dont think so..i mean to me this game can teach u reality stuff, like working for money and saving up for things u want and need..i have sum old time friends on there from my school tht left and they still play, its a kool game.

5 of my 9 friends play rs so they love it

 

2 of them play wow and 1 of them is always bragging about his stuff and money so i have him

 

and the other 2 just dont care

None of my "girl" freinds are interested in runescape... my other freinds are a whole different story.

1. His name is Kirk... he was in my first grade class... didn't see him afterwards until I recognized him in 6th grade... in 7th grade I found out he plays runescape.

 

 

 

2. His name is lucas, I started runescape in 6th grade and he did in 5th grade... even though he was my freind from 5th grade we only found out we play at the end of 7th grade.

 

 

 

3. His name is Bryan... Just a follower and started playing in 8th.

 

 

 

4. Drew... I kept on talking about it and he started and became a member... 3-74+ combat in less than 2 months :shock:

 

 

 

5. X and Rich... noobs who only like runescape for the combat started probably 7th grade?

 

 

 

6. Felipe,Roger,Rob,Nikolas... 4 people you would NEVER expect to play Runescape... started summer break before 8th grade... but they're the kind of preppy kids that are on Baseball, football teams and are all jocky, (not including rob) Yup... I was like :shock: when I found out. But then I started thinking... Runescape is taking over the world!!! :twisted:

 

 

 

7. My cousin... Never met until I went on vacation to Lithuania... Plays runescape... that's how we stay in touch now :)

 

 

 

8. Random nerdy kid... all he does is complain about runescape's graphics and that its not fun... probably got to 5 combat before he quit.

Lol... My wife has grown to accept it. I guess that would be the proper way to say it. She used to say I play too much and she'd get rid of my computer... but I've gotten much better at balancing quality time with her and what I fondly call "Rev's Time".

Most of my real life friends don't even know I play.

Graphics are overrated. Yeah, they make a game more enjoyable and can contribute to a storyline significantly, but in the long run a game, such as Runescape, will stand up on it's own despite it's graphical imperfections. (Which aren't that bad.)

My friends are those girly-girl girls who think mud is gross. I, on the other hand, am a girl that thinks mud is fun. :lol:

 

 

 

Thus, I play the game all the "boys" are playing. My friends can go have fun with their little MySpace profiles and their hair. I really could care much, much less. But I don't.

My goodness! Whenever an MMO comes into conversation I get ribbed by my pals that I play Runescape. I never has bothered me as I could easily get WoW or Guild Wars and play that. I made a choice and I'm sticking with Runescape because it's what I started with, it's my first taste of the sweet nectar that is, online gaming.

 

 

 

Most people I know won't make a big deal of me playing as they see that I'm not embarrassed about it or anything of that nature. When I first started I didn't tell a soul, but now as I'm older and wiser and have my own distinct self-actualizing motives I do what I want because I want to and no one can force me into playing a game just because they're playing it (No one ever told me about RS, I stumbled upon it, didn't play for a while, then came back and have been playing ever since, except maybe one break somewhere around there, maybe).

Okay, while I played Runescape i thought it was God's greatest. However I have now left the game and somewhat broadened my mind as to what game producers can actually do. Now I do think Runescape is stupid, yes.

 

In saying that it's a lot better than some other games, and I do love the hidden humor in examining items etc. If Runescape had more strategy capability it would be fantastic, but at the moment it's pretty much using a bow, magic or melee and choosing the best for a situation. Games like World Of Warcraft however have many different classes with many different abilities that make it a much more fun game as far as strategy goes.

I made a choice with RS, and I don't want to start over in another MMO again.

All of my friends play,on is member with me,others a f2p,and one of them doesn't play because dad won't let him,saw ppl cussing lol.Explained that we could turn chat,but he didn't want to hear about it.

 

 

 

And man is Runescape taking over,saw like 10 kids playing at library one day. :shock: All members,bragging about what they just got after a duel. :roll:

They used to like it, most hate it now lol.

well i started playing runescape first out of all my friends. then i showed one friend. he sdaid it was stupid because the graphics were stupid. next day ta school, he wouldnt stop talking about it.

 

 

 

then me and my friend showed my other firned, and he immdiatly loved it. then my other friend got so sick of us talknig about he decided to go check it out. he said the were gay and but he still plays it.

 

 

 

pretty weird, i figure, that 1 moment they hate it and next they want to make sweet love with it.

Some of my freinds think its stupid, they try and make fun out of me. Its pretty funny seeing them put their arm straight, and then move it up and down to imitate the combat system on rsc lol. Ironically, they all play tibia, so they arent in a position to say anything :P
