PS3 VS Xbox/360

Personally i think it's all about the type of games you like.

 

Gamecube (me forgets the new one's name :oops: ): VERY much so for the younger ones. Has games like mario, yoshie, kirby *nearly said bubsa there hehe :lol: ) etc. of course it's eprfectly fine for adults to play these games, they're just aimed at kids.

 

XBOX: lots of action, adventure and movie type games (Example: LOTR). I personally am into RPG's and shooting games (obssesed with CS :P ), so xbox is for me.

 

PS: I'm never very sure about it, i think it's just a mix between some classics, xbox and gamecube. I know lots of people are "touchy" when it comes to consoles (god knows why, too) so i won't say that one of them is bad but for the sake of saying my opinion i will say which i think is better. tehy are all great though! (erm not so sure about game cube, those controllers are so big i couldn't put my hand around it properly with four hands!).

 

From memory i read that the new 360 will have better graphics and memory then the new PS, this isn't confirmed but it's just what i heard.

 

 

 

Another few goods about the 360 is the fact that it's:

 

A: Much cheaper! (for when the new PS comes out) those things aren't cheap :wink:

 

B: first new console to come out. PS is a generation behind for a long time to come, that's extremely bad for bussines.

the reason why xbox sucks is because all their games are out for pc, compared to ps2. There is no point of a buying an xbox

 

With that logic, you may as well by a Gameboy/PSP because all the main games are released to that as well.

I vote PS3.

 

So what if 360 came out before it means nothing, sure they will get more sales sooner but I bet PS3 will be even more popular. People see Microsoft as notorious for bugs and the like.

 

Ive played an XBOX360 and to be honest, I was disappointed. I expected more, compared to a PS2 I didnt see much difference in gameplay or AI. The noticeable difference was the lighting and shadows, especially water. The configuration of human detail was nice but really not ground-breaking.

 

Now from what i've seen of the PS3 (Mags and Videos) EVERYTHING looks improved. Explosions look realistic, shadows are really detailed, AI seems much more advanced and general gameplay feedback (Like will be in MGS4) is staggering.

 

Maybe its just me but I much prefer the look of the PS3, may not be convenient but it looks more modern - sleeker if you will. And, thank god, they are redesigning their "boomerang" controller.

 

However, I do like the 360 controllers. They fit well in your hand but I am so used to having a D-Pad at the top-left and 2 Analogue sticks in the middle, it does not fit aswell as a PS2 controller.

Gameplay feedback is just the game and how it adapts to play, (I.E. The infamous MGS3 The End death via old age.) and AI is about computer controlled characters and how they react. As in all games having an MGS-style enemies. Meaning they have to see you or hear you to stand a chance of killing you.

I thought Halo's plot was very interesting and fun to play. Once Halo2 comes out on PC, I will play that as well. However, I will not spend 400 bucks just to play two games.

Most of the good games I like on ps2 end up comming out on xbox, and better.

 

 

 

I HIGHLY doubt ps3 will have anything close to xbox 360's live.

 

 

 

PS3 made a lot of people think that ff7 is being re-made on it's console, when it was just a demo to show it's power.

 

 

 

FF7 is about the only reason I'd ever even want to play the ps3, and since it's not going to happen I have to go with the 360 all the way.

In case anyone cares, me and my friend had a discussion about something along this line the other day. Of course we compared all game systems to a PC. Basically we came up with plenty of reasons to buy a PC over any xbox, ps, or any of that s*. When you buy a game system you know they'll make a newer and better one within a year or two. When you buy a computer you know they're going to have upgrades within months. But you can upgrade your computer, you can't just upgrade your game system. I'm refusing to buy an xbox 360 unless they make halo 3 and its not on PC. I hate watching companies make millions of dollars because they renamed their product and gave it a new image. Then recoded the new games so that they won't work on the old systems. And then the stupidity of the average human! Don't buy every new system that comes out. Watch and every few years buy the latest one. There's not much of a change in graphics from xbox to xbox 360 as far as I can tell. I'm happier with a nice gaming PC. I might have dropped $1700 for it but it'll be better than the new systems coming out for quite a while. Again stop buying the new systems every time a new one coming out. Quit handing out hard earned money for a new name and look (and come changed codes).

Oh a completely off-topic note, this reminded me of how much respect I lost for Bill Gates when he said Halo 3 was coming out the same time as PS3. That was a real headscratcher, he looks like a n00b now. Not only does that not make any sence, but who is he to say that Bungie will release a game. And not only that, but PS3 would completely waste Halo 3 in terms of sale, so his comments are completely rediculous, just meant to get all those Xbox fanboys a-hyperventilatin' about how Halo 3 rox my sox.

 

 

 

And on another side note, just an observation, Xbox-fanboys are far more annoying than Sony and Nintendo fanboys. I'm not sure why, but they seem to be the ones putting all other systems down, normally in 1337 speak, and it's just plain annoying. And Bill Gates' comments just got them all in a massive, crazy, nerdular, raging campaign on how 360 will own all other systems because 'Halo 3 comes out same time as PS3!!!". It makes me sad.

 

 

 

And I'm saying this from a completely non-partial background, having never owned a console ever. (Thought obviously I prefer the PC, it's not in the next-gen console wars) I've put what little opinion I have in favour of PS3 because of next-gen GTA and less mad fanboyisms.
