May 27, 200620 yr Classic rock (60's-to around the late 80's)/Heavy metal (mostly just 70's-80's stuff). I don't really listen to anything new. Though. I suppose I'll have to when I run out of old stuff to listen to... But by then, new stuff will be old... BAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA It really has
May 27, 200620 yr I'm really open minded. I wouldn't say I had a prefered genre. So long as this thread isn't an excuse to slag off other genres, then good thread, man. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
May 27, 200620 yr I like all types of music, although I would say my favourites would be.. indie/alternative, rock, trance/dance.
May 27, 200620 yr Uh I like Ska mainly. But old school rap like the Beastie Boys and A Tribe Called Quest is awesome. I also enjoy a good amount of Classic Rock like The Beatles, and I always listen to Musicals like Wicked and Beauty and the Beast. Then some acoustic bands like Dispatch... That's about it really. Good thread, homie. :P Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
May 27, 200620 yr Prog rock primarily - the likes of Yes, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Van Der Graaf Generator, ELP, PFM, Echolyn and Eloy. Punk a close second - the likes of NOFX, Bad Religion and so on. Some metal - the likes of Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation (only Be), Opeth, Lamb of God. Also a fair amount of classical - the likes of Clementi and Handel; I particularly like harpsichord music. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
May 27, 200620 yr I can pretty much listen to anything apart from dance music (not generally 'music you can dance to' I mean trance, hard house etc.), Im pretty eclectic musically. I seem to go through little phases sometimes where Im really into one specific genre for a while, at the moment Im really into old soul music although to be honest Im not too knowledgable about it at all. May 28, 200620 yr Rap Hip-Hop Techno Anything Kelly Clarkson... Glad I got that off my chest. I'll listen to anything really that's not emo/screamo/whatever. The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard.
May 28, 200620 yr rock linkin park disturbed soad beck and more Rap+rock Jay z linkin park hows the weather up there. where the rich people live. currently, in the poor area its -1.
May 28, 200620 yr Some melodic black metal, some melodic death metal, power metal, progressive metal, gothic metal, viking metal, country, and I guess pop, if that's the genre Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken are in.
May 28, 200620 yr Van Der Graaf Generator Van der Graaf Generator, damn, you're going deep mate. :P Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

May 28, 200620 yr I don't really like loads of material from any one genre. Some of my favourite bands however are... The Stone Roses, Ian Brown, Aphex Twin, Tool, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Metallica, Pantera, DJ Tiesto, Muse, Pink Floyd, The Streets, A Perfect Circle, Yes, Blur, The Libertines, Joe Satriani, Chicane, and Liquid Tension Experiment. May 29, 200620 yr I like so much, it would be easier to ask what I don't like... I don't like country, I'm indifferent to techno (I could listen to it no prob but wouldn't put it on my iPod), I don't like European dance music, or much any dance music unless.. dancing, I don't like metal of any form, I don't like "crunk," and there are a few others, but I don't have anything to go off of to list them. I do like most forms of rock: indie, classic, soft, etc. I like alternative, some pop but not much, I like hip-hop/rap but underground which I'd consider almost a different genre of rap because they break through the content barrier of female escorts and bling and whatnot and get into deep conceptual stuff with good rhymes and beats.
May 29, 200620 yr Rap Hip-Hop Techno Anything Kelly Clarkson... Glad I got that off my chest. I'll listen to anything really that's not emo/screamo/whatever. Everyone on this board secretly likes Kelly Clarkson mate   . And i like Ska (Streetlight Manifesto & Reel Big Fish being favourites). However i hate to define Reel Big Fish to one genre, as I don't beleive they conform to one genre entirely. I like Less Than Jake, who are i supose are Ska, but maybe soft-punk-rock. I like some Alternative (The Killers, Kasabian). And thats about it, but i don't mind 90's Rap.
