Its like getting your mining to 85 and continuing mining copper because it is 'unfair' to rune miners who are trying to get some rune ore. What else are you supposed to do with 37/40/43 prayer? What else are you supposed to do with the levels of 25/31/45/55 etc magic? Tell me. I think it is correct that you CAN use the skills you EARNED. I think merchanting is extinct.... In wildy it only lengthens a fight and nothing else. Personally, i think all three should be removed from the game. Outside wildy they compensate for the entire defence skill! Even in the wildy it's over the top. Does an increase in combat lvl of 5 (43 prayer) justify a 40% protection versus damage? I think not! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If both people pray then a fight could go on for 10 minutes without a victor. Sure use your prayers if your not in the wildy for pking but don't go pking with the intention of using protect prayers, all you will acomplish is delaying the inevitable. There is nothing wrong with using any prayers anywhere. It just makes it harder for the pkers to pk you and that bugs them. All they need to do if they feel the fight is unfair (a joke in the wildy) is get their own prayer up and start doing the same. If you really care a whit about fair fights, try the duel arena. # 1101 to 99 range on 12-18-0585 slayer on 12-18-05 with combat at 102; retired from members since Feb 06.Back since June 07. 2000+ total. sheepdean Posted May 28, 2006 Share Posted May 28, 2006 i am slightly biased on this front (62 prayer ) but basically, if someone is frightened of fgighting someone who has put effort into using prayer, they really shouldnt be in the wildy. and people think teleing is 'wrong' because it is seen as very cowardly to try and protect your items.. i am sure that these people also believe that the protect item prayer is evil, and should be destryoed. PK how you want, and if someone tries to complain, take them down in style Back by popular demand!And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. Serously, they could pray also, if they wanted to, but really it does nothing but make the fight longer. Now in multi, praying may be ur only chance at survival. No need to stay and fight because if they are protect praying they are most likely going to tele too. jessy87 Posted May 28, 2006 Share Posted May 28, 2006 here's my idea. whenever you enter the wilderness, those prayers should be shut off. *but zmorak, what about the kbd?* ok, stupid question. those of you who know about it know it isn't in the wilderness. the only exception i may agree with is multicombat zones. but in singles, why have the prayers useable? but zmorak, whats the point of turning off prayer in the single combat wildy? what about zammy mages(as if i have to worry about them...) no really, thats a dumb idea. it works FINE the way it is. turning off prayer in single combat wildy is DUMB. example. i goto kbd, first time their with a few friends, we go their kill some stuff leave with no real loot. we are LEAVING the kbd's lair (didnt bring teles didnt know they would work) a ancient mage like literally 10-20 combat lvls below me shows up, now im already in black dhide, but protect from magic sure helped me waiste more of his food then he would have used if portection prayers were off. i knew i was going to die, i was going to lose, omg my anti fire shield...big deal. i just wanted to waiste his runes and make him eat and have the hastle of being poisoned to deal with. drawing out the fight with my prayer was like as good as gold to me, wishing maybe he would die to some other pker... was it fair? hell yeah it was. if he would have been in melee distance i would have tore him apart ;) still super setted up from kbd i earned all my prayer and i want to use it the way i can, and ill abuse anything i can. thats why i have 2 black marks on my runescape account and like 3 signature warnings for these forums. because i like to make people set up rules so noone else can abuse them like i did. A respect rule that would be like "I give you more of a chance to kill me if you give me more of a chance to kill you." The wilderness is supposed to be fun, but when it costs money, and you dont earn money because people CONSTANTLY tele, it gets boring. People say, "then teleblock!!!." I can, and do, but think about all the sharks i then lose for space so i can hold more armor and runes. So in turn, to give me a chance of getting a few of your pixels, i have to get housed to keep you from doing the most disrespectful thing there is in the game. It's a game. Its all about having fun. Bring what you are willing to risk losing in the wilderness, and actually risk losing it, as i do. I never bring tele, i would never pray 1 on 1, i would never do anything disrespectful. The thing is we ALL have those levels. Hey 43 prayer! Guess what? You're mediocre. You turn on protect from melee, so do I. Wow, nobody dies, we both use 30k in supplies. Fun? On another note, protection prayers don't work worse in the wilderness, they work the same in all PVP. Its something like 40% protection and accuracy reduction. The point of the magic level for teleling was for fast transportation , not to save your 50k dagger.
