It's insane. Not just the bank, the entire PARK is filled! I mean, I know it's the #1 place to be to trade and whatnot, but OH MY GOD, that's just... incredibly crazy. It's like all 2000 people are in the one place. It's psychotic.

That is why it takes 20mins to log into the world in the first place! it gets so annoying, and it isn't only fally all the banks r really crowded on world 2

Lol, I don't see why Jagex doesn't make the max people like 5,000 for just world 2, so everyone who wants to trade can go there. It's the most annoying thing, trying to get there and it literally takes like 5-10 minutes, just to get to log into the world, then it's so laggy and I sometimes get logged out, then that just makes me more mad..

 

 

 

Also, the stupid people that'll stand in the most crowded spots they can find, like 2-3 people on every square and then scream something like "Selling Rune Scimmy 20k!!"

I hate world 2...

there was a drop party back in runescape classic near the varrock castle (the engine was better at emphasizing just HOW crowded an area was) and let me tell you that I've never seen a runescape2 area come CLOSE to topping it in terms of the amount of people i figured were there in a single world

 

 

 

probably the closest was the castlewars waiting room when it first came out, i'd say

 

 

 

I have the pics on an old hard drive in my garage :boohoo: doubt i can recover them.

 

 

 

worlds were capped at 1500 back then as well.

 

 

 

one of the coolest things about runescape has always been that it's very normal for 100+ players to be on your screen at a time and yet you can hop to another world that doesn't have a designation as "the best world" and be totally alone while at the exact same area ;)

If it's already as laggy as it is with 2k people and tons of people in the selling area, adding the amount of people to that server to 5k wouldn't be technically feasible I'd imagine.

Nor did i see null at that party, now that I recall it (or just wasn't looking?) #-o Which in retrospect makes absolutely no sense

 

 

 

I just remember that the empty ground between characters feet literally didn't exist in an area about 10 squares by 10 squares (WAY HARDER TO DO IN RSC THAN IN RS2)

world 2: quiet outside fally but as its a world with 2000players it has fast respawn times :P

Anyways They're already using some pretty pro servers to host 2K people on one world. I doubt they can get one that hosts 5K people without splitting the world map in half to share it between 2 servers.

Runevillage had some pretty big drop parties on rsc that used to make a mess of the world and break the chat.

It isn't that easy, see, there are servers, there are so big that they can hold upto X players, a big server holds 500 people tops, RS servers hold 2000 people, 4x as much people. Get my drift? So If it were to be 5000 people, that would use a hell of a lot of power kay?
