Well there's so much unexplored things to do, you feel like a true adventurer. You don't care about efficiency, everything is fresh and fun, you're learning something new every minute, and if that's not enough reason, people overglorify their 'olden days' anyway to make the past seem better than it was.

there you go, he got it nailed. now that i think about it, i start to feel really good even when i go into an area that i haven't been to in a while, or a small area that i've never been to, like the area north of west ardougne or the area far southeast of castle wars, and new dungeons too. its just really fun when you can explore a new place.

in the olden days we had clubs not swords.. and we beat up dinosaurs for a livin'

rsc was fun.. but it got boring.. especially now you look back at phat prices :P

but yeah when your a noob.. everything to explore.. plenty to get bored of :)

smellysockssigbyblfazer.png

in my opinion, it was just the new and wonderful things that you could learn from the begining, and make lots of friends from the begining rather than near the end(level 120), those people may halpe you in the future.

and the whole adventure of learning what places are dangerous(wildy) and what places arent(towns), and being scammed atleast once in your rs time

:P

even i have the misfile craze!!!

It's a new experience and world to explore. When I joined members I was so happy that there was a huge map I could explore. Sorta wearing off =\

Cuz back then gaining a lvl was simple :D

I'm happy that I still feel that way. There's still so much I want to do, to explore. Now I'm keen on getting a Fire Cape, maybe after that I'll go for the Chompy Hunting top prize, then some other mini-game. I want to be a 99 slayer, be a specialist on how to kill every beast in RS :) I want to smith rune, be able to make all potions, cast Ice Barrage

I'm over 1450 overall and there's still so much in the game, I don't feel like the fun is over for me :)

And when I get bored, I just go do something else. Someone wise once said that being bored is always our fault.

PKERS CAN ALL BE DAMNED TO HELL!

Because it is a new game. Everything you explore is new to you and you think it is cool.

When you a higher level, all it becomes is about money..."Oh I have got to save up for Guthans"...That's not really that fun, to sit there and make gold to get items...

It's much more fun playing the game, feeling good about yourself the first time you gain an attack level. You don't get nearly as good of a feeling grinding and training for hours to get 92 attack.

Don't free Durial. Put this in your sig if you believe in justice.

As much fun as i had at lower lvls i would never be able to restart due to the time and effort i have put into my account over the past 11 months.

People are also more judgemental of lower lvls and consider them "inferior" and decide to call them names for no obvious reasons other than there lvl at that time......but we all have to start somewhere :boohoo:

Warning, psycho at work =p

Cuz back then gaining a lvl was simple :D

I missed the day I got like 5+ lvls a day (only happens now when new skill is release). now days I can play for a week and gain only 1 lvl (or even none).

Visit my web-site http://www.saam007.com.

Where you can find: Runescape Home Designer, Runescape Farming Tool, Runescape Sudoku Solver and how to pay membership while playing.

Yeah I remeber when I first started playing....

Me and my friend thought we owned this game

I'd come to school messing with my other friend (who didn't play) saying "Yeah we're the best at this game, in it you can only go to lvl 30 and I'm lvl 26  "

I must have stayed at lumbridge for a good month before I went to Varrock. :-k

dragonforce-1.jpg

Ahh, the noob days, wonderful.

It was back in RSC when I was a noob. Runescape was nothing compared to what it is now. But it was so exciting! I didn't even dare to get out of lumbridge before I was level 10. I heard my friends bragging about he could beat a level 28 guard in varrock. In the big city of Varrock! It was great when I walked into that city for the first time. So many npc's! so many shops! And there was this big demon Delrith luring at the city gates. A big nasty scary demon it was.

I spend a few more weeks exploring the map, which I found huge. And that while the wilderness hadn't even been added yet.

But after a while, things got more common and, especially training, got bored. So I quited around the time RS2 came out.

Started again due to more content being brought in to the game years later, so now it's fun again. I was a noob again when I just got members. It was great, so many stuff to do.

So, my conclusion... When you are a noob, all things are new and exciting. After a while you get used to the game, making the game less interesting.

and the whole adventure of learning what places are dangerous(wildy) and what places arent(towns), and being scammed atleast once in your rs time

:P

Well, about dangerous places, when i was level 17 some lvl 20 mage killed me with a fire strike, it was my first dead -.- i didn't have a lot of "Fun" as i lost all my iron/bronze stuff -.-

And about the being scammed atleast once in ur rs life, now i know why scammers just keep scammin even if they have to create new lvl 3 n33bzies to scam when they get banned lol !!! Just imagine that, one scam for every rsplayer, wow i could get lots of phats like that :P. And i don't think u have fun when u get scammed :-X

Lol when I was a noob I loved it...didnt know anything...Now its lost its touch.

It just inst the same game.

Personally I hated it when i started because right away I would see some level 50 go past and think "wowholy [cabbage] hes good!". I wanna be like him! and then i was like wow.....level 50.... so far away

I quit at 42 then a friend started playing and Ive been playing catch up :)

I thought it was truely great, mostly because you couldn't BUY your way to success unlike now a days. Almost everyone is concerned about gp. Back then in classic it wasn't much so. Well, at least that's how I felt. I truely cared about trying to work my way up to riches* even though it took awhile, it felt great knowing I actually did something myself. :D

*The way I made money back when I was a newb was... (Drum Roll!) I picked banana's for Luthas on karamja. (Took me forever to save up for that rune2h, then I learned about the steel leg respawn in the wilderness #-o )

Go to a f2p world and observe the newbs for a little while. They're all twitchy and moronic.

Like a cage full of rabbits, but in a good way. :)

My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race.

crackersapparentlyiu8.png

However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.

idiotacyoa5.png

when ur a nub u have so many things u can do and its easy...get like 50 lvls a day lol

Very true, I used to as a noob go from the varrock mine, to the furnace in lumby and to the anvils in varrock.

Basically ,as a newb you don't know whats behind the corner...
