drop rates on shards, chunks etc?

if i had to give a rough guess id say about 1:15 this is from personal experience, of course you may go through dry patches and whatnot but this is a fairly accurate average

Also should mention that you can get the Plate and legs of the armour (Probably helm too) off their respective Dagannoth king (Rock shell off rex etc.)

will do, and you CANT get the helm as far as i know, also DONT look to the tip besitary for the kings on this as it is messed up.

Unless prime does infact drop spined armour.

also thanks to all those who liked the guide for your kind words.

Your guide says they drop legs + helm not plate

an alternate set up for maging might be to use the chaos gauntlets from the family crest guide if you were fire bolting

Nice guide even though ive only killed the lvl 88's

Just an average player with a horrible name...

this set up would work quite well, range hits a lot more often then melee does, i just prefer to melee cause i cant hit 26's with range. if you like to see constant hits range is the way to go.

I tried the set up i said i would:

Robin Hood Hat

Unholy Symbol

Monk Top and Bottom

Full Crystal Bow

Ring of Wealth

Ranger Boots

Barrow Gloves

Fire Cape

Karil's Bow and 2.5k Bolts on the side.

I was able to completely use up my crystal bow, and use 1k bolts before i have to bank due to shortage of inventory space. By then, I only used 17 doses of Prayer pot (at 71 prayer, and holy wrench). The trick is when the Wallasalki's Stop auto attacking, turn off your prayer when your target retreats (he will not attack you again), which prolonged prayer usage big time. Not only that, the place is godly ranged xp (extra xp, no damage, good drops, close to a teleport point, and very high hits of 127).

Very much recommended

Is it just me or does Rockshell seem like melee armor

spined armor is archer armor

and the other one is mage armor

rock shell = rune armor

Spined = Green D hide

Skele is about the same as splitbark

One thing i noticed with wallasalkis when i was gettnig myself some skeletal armor:

Once they are not aggressive anymore (stay in the farend of the cave) they will only hit few times with mage and then stand still or flee from you. Now, normally there would be others attacking you BUT since the aggressiveness is gone that won't be the case. No need to pray on the whole wallasalki, just first few rounds (meaning, until it's hp gets low enough so he would normally run).

And range is best against them.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either

a fool or a coward.

Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law

is both.

For a wounded man shall say to his assailant:

"If I live, I will kill you, If I Die, you are forgiven."

Such is the Rule of Honor.

A decent combat level would also be required to slay the foul denizens of Waterbirth Island ranging from level 88 up to 137
found a typo

Giant Rock Crabs are Lvl 137? So are you implying the kings there?

If so this guide wasnt about them so I didn't deem it nescessary to add them, but i will add a little side note beside that

  • 1 month later...

Sorry if I'm reviving your post, but I'd just like to add my 2 cents.

For the crabs I like my veracs. At the end of the entry tunnel (multicombat) you can stick them against the wall where they can try to run all they want. They'll barely hit through verac's above-runite defence (even if there's 2 attacking you) and you can defeat them quite readily in melee. Praying also works very well because of verac's crazy high prayer bonuses.

I can get a pic or two for you if you'd like, or go with people to demonstrate this method. I've become a veracs addict so I'll always be ready.

[EDIT]Meh. You've inspired me to write a guide on giant rock crab killing. Then I won't be accused by anyone of stealing your guide.

- Pfft, my goals are FAR too "fluid" (ie. I have ADD) to be recorded in my sig.

Anything on the required defences for each armour?

Great guide though.

Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x.

PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues

9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system

Brawler guide is being finished!
