beigo Posted July 31, 2006 Share Posted July 31, 2006 This is the falador shortcut on the north wall east of the park. Grappling hook is mithril and requires 1 bar and 59 smithing to make. You need to attach a mithril bolt and then a rope to it. They aren't tradable, I don't think you can trade just the hook part either. To use it you need a crossbow equipped. oldstyle Posted July 31, 2006 Share Posted July 31, 2006 did a little testing at the duel arena with a realativly pure friend of mine. with no armor I found the saphs and ruby ones to be highly ineffective. out of perhaps 40 shots with the ruby (e) I landed ONE special. a 19 for which I recieved 7 damage. With he in rune armor I hit a combo of 19 18 19 17 on him. (granted there were quite a few 0's preceding this.) The dstone and obbys I haven't played with as I'm waiting for a 99 smither bud to show her face today. ;) It will greatly skew the wildy though I think, although that rune bow is as slow as frozen piss. Could use an extra row of bankspace to hold all this junk as well. beigo Posted July 31, 2006 Share Posted July 31, 2006 This is the pouch used to hold crossbow bolts, it holds up to 255 of four types of bolts (it won't hold bolt racks or grappling hooks though). I've added the same type of bolt twice. The dwarf in Keldagrim who sells crossbows will sell it to you for 1500gp if you talk to him. He is at one of the stalls in the big building. Although the spell enchants 10 bolts at a time, you can withdraw one bolt from your bank and only enchant one.
