My friend had an airsoft gun from Russia, and he sold it to me. Was much more powerful than any US guns because it didn't have to comply with any regulations. Eventually it broke :( .

 

 

 

Yes trapical, paintball guns may not look as cool as airsoft guns, but as far as realism goes, compare a paintball bruise to an airsoft bruise. I think you will understand. As for me, I am assured of my manliness and not afraid to use a pink paintball gun to annihilate my enemies. How about this: you get that cool looking airsoft gun and I get the paintball gun...

Once my team was playing and a paintball team came along. And we played them....and won. 2 out of 3 games; and they were strong guns aswell.

Thats true for paintball...but most airsoft guns arn't strong enough unless they're ridiculously strong gas rifles. So it won't be that bad unless its point blank.

 

 

 

 

 

I've been shot there from about 30 ft....and it didn't hurt that bad.

 

 

 

But then again I wear heavy camo pants.

What kind of game types do you guys usually play?

 

 

 

heres what my team plays:

 

 

 

 

 

Paint Ball Style:

 

The two teams of about 5-6 people each stand at opposite ends of the field. A countdown from five is commenced and at 0 the teams scatter and/or start shooting at eachother. A good quick gametype.

 

 

 

Capture the hill:

 

Self-explanatory. The front area of the massive field we play at is sloped with a really big mud cliff at the end. The first team goes and hides over the expanse of the hill while the other team goes back into the woods to wait for 2 minutes. Then that team sieges the hill, the goal being to elimiate all of the other players and likewise.

 

 

 

Those are the two main gametypes...and days where we have 6+ hours we'll play games like president and vampire(both of them are escort type games) They usually take 1+ hours.

 

 

 

 

 

Also What terrains have you played?

 

 

 

I've played soft woods(meaning lots of bushes and some trees)

 

hard woods (all trees)

 

grasslands(no cover...but alot of hiding spots due to very tall grass....(very very fast games ;))\

 

snow(my personal favorite)

 

desert(2nd personal favorite

My team of about 8 guys usually get together once a week to play amongst ourselves, then we go out to larger games where we can show our prowess hehe.

Deathmatch: A free for all...last one standing wins.

 

 

 

Team DM: Even teams...last time alive wins.

 

 

 

Capture the flag: Either one flag in the middle, and you must bring it to the opposing side, or each time has a flag and has to bring it to the opposing side.

 

 

 

Deathbox: We have a wooden pillbox with a small slit in the front, fits one guy. We put a flag roughly 15 feet in front of the deathbox. The deathbox guy has a gun, everyone else is unarmed. You must retrieve the flag and touch it to a point next to the deathbox to win without getting shot. It's fun as hell.

 

 

 

Attack/Defend: We use one of our larger bunkers, have a smaller number of defenders and a larger number of attackers. Defenders can't leave the bunker, attackers can go where they please. Usually has a time limit to force the attackers to make a last minute desperate charge...which usually ends up with them getting annihilated.

I play both. My paintball gun: no one has been able to tell me what it is yet, it's strange..... As for airsoft, i dont have a gun, but my friend has tons, and i go over his house and play it alot.

I acutally never paintballed before, i plan on doing it soon though, it seems like great fun :).

I love paintball, but man I hate some of the teams I get placed on at the local paintball arena. Worst injury was I was in a snake and some jerk on my team comes up and unloads around 10-15 balls on me from maybe 3 feet away. Airsoft is pretty fun too. Im trying to find places to play but its way harder than finding a place to play paintball.

I don't know what weapons that we use because my brother has mates that rebuild real weapons into paintball weapons, even the fire rate. Seems very fun but I've never done it before in my life (Do I miss something?) My brother had to go to the hospital for him being so stupid to stand right INFRONT of a weapon (or two M, that is still Quite close)

 

 

 

Any suggestions of guns or should I use the moddified ones that my brother has?

Oddly enough my team has never played FFA. Weird :P

i want that gun, unfortunately i'm a poor college student. back when i had a job i bought a USR11 (TM VSR clone) with the intent of putting TM internals in it and having a designated sniper under stl airsoft rules, but i ran out of time/money.

 

 

 

i still use it sometimes to play with friends, it's more than enough for backyard sniping(still has more range than any of my friends' guns)

 

 

 

we usually play at night, capture the flag style games(using glowsticks as flags). even if you do capture the glowstick, it's pretty easy to spot the only light running, which makes the games go on for a looooong time. some nights we played almost till daylight and only 1 or 2 scores. it's a blast though.

 

 

 

we usually play smokes allowed, because most people don't know how to use them anyway, but on the 4th of july we played "all fireworks legal" airsoft. totally unsafe, but tons of fun. :lol:

We usually play with an ex-army ranger...he has that gun. Nothing in it is stock

paintball is really fun but it sure can hurt !!!!!!!same with airsoft!!

We don't call it airsoft here, they're just bb guns.

 

 

 

The other day I bought a Heckler and Koch USP, only spring loaded though, with hop up. Looks very cool though, would of liked a gas powered one though, but this one was $100 as it was, the gas powered ones were $350+.

I play airsoft. I have a G&P M4 Commando, and a little Desert Eagle (its whips your tiny rs bottom :P)

 

 

 

EDIT: And yes, I am female....

I've played Paintball a few times. Though not many, I used to go to a Paint-Ball area a few miles from my home situated in the middle of some woods.

 

 

 

Havn't a clue what type of gun I used, but it was fairly accurate and won me a fair few points. :P
