August 5, 200619 yr No more abyss pk-ers... wouldnt that be a paradise? certainly for most of us all... How do we get this? Abbyss pk-ers must come to realise that they cant kill anyone, or atleast get no drop... How do we do this? Simple... 1: Wear your glory, and cheap dragonhide which you can afford to lose 2: Wear a saradomin book, or cheap elemental shield to help counter the effects of magic even more. (Sara book si recommended, read below) 3: Run 1 square past the skeletons. If they attack you, you are considered to be under attack, for long enough for you to get into the abyss itself (its single combat from edgy to zammy mage) 4: Here it is, the absolute decisive factor that will, combined with your magic defense, deter almost any magic attack... Protection from mage is the one you need to prevent teleblocks and/or ice spells or snares... But protect item will protect your glory :) THE KEY TO HAVING PRAYER ON ALL ABYSS RUNS: Jangerberries give 1 prayer point when eaten (and heals 3 hp too) Keep it close to all your essence in the bank, and when you bank at edgy, you simply eat 1 jangerberry, and turn on prayer when entering the wild... This reduces the chances of you getting pk-ed by atleast another 40% Combine it with the ectophialling out (or escaping into the abyss, which can be done still when teleblocked) as well as being under attack from a skeleton.... It will be pretty much NOT cost effective because the pk-ers will not get any drops worth mentioning, even IF they manage to pk you... They spawn on the ogre islands north of gu'thanoth and west of yanille... But it is wise to plant your bush patches with them anyways, because they can also be converted into super compost.... August 5, 200619 yr Meah, i rc A LOT!!! This is what i find works best, ghostly hood, full black d, sara book, glory, ring of dueling, rune pick, boots of lightness. August 5, 200619 yr I've seen people doing that with p-pots. Bit of a waste if you ask me, because the abyssers are rarely skillful enough to both tb and tangle you before you're already gone. Just take teles. As for Jangerberry, you're going to need more than one p point to get out alive. Here's the main issue, not glories but pouches. A glory is 60k. That's like 12-15 minutes of nat crafting? Pouches at 100 combat with whip and pots still take a full afternoon. My advice is to run. Failing all else, drop pouches. And then glory if you have time. August 5, 200619 yr As TheZephyrus said, you're going to need more than 1 Prayer Point to successfully use the Protect from Magic prayer. In any event, there's a better solution. Put sound on: a skilled RC'er will be able to hear the TB coming, and teleport before it lands. Come back and telegrab. This is a good idea in theory, however you cannot telegrab pouches.

Not to mention the House-Louding-Time is a killer. Also, you're losing an inventory space for the Teleport Tablet. But, if you're using a panic-button anyway, you might as well. Or you could simply stop complaing about people PKING IN THE WILDERNESS! If you don't like it then tough, either put up with it or don't use the abyss, simple as that. I don't think the topic was meant as a rant. I saw it as a discussion. People are spit-balling their ways of keeping their glories and pouches. Abyss PK'ers have just as much a right to PK RC'ers as RC'ers have to, well, RC! But that doesn't mean we can't take measures to make sure we don't lose our items.
August 5, 200619 yr i use house teles, so i can restore pray, i run up with steel skin, protect magic, protect items, rapid heal on (why not for the last 2 if anyone asks), if a 1 itemer ddses me i switch to melee pray then just run to the zammy mage and the next trip take a dds and anti psn, and 2 food to scare them off if they are still there, if its a mage i just go up in no items and check if they are still there, usually when a mage has attacked each runecrafter once they leave. also i turn on the effect-sounds. so i can tele on the sound of an entangle to make sure i dont get teleblocked (if they teleblock first usually i can just run to the zammy mage), and tele on the sound of an ice spell aswell. i have around 10 sets of full black hides from clues and about 5 rune picks, all that i would need to get back if i died would be my pouches and my sara cape, sara book and id need to goto the mage guild and buy a new mystic hat + boots, and get a new gnome amulet from the gnome. here is a pic of what i wear: and inv when ive just banked: i make 40 nats a trip abit slower than glorying, abit faster than paddewa teles, and much safer. if i got home tele tablets instead of runes would be 42. at 75 runecrafting thatll change to 51/53. if i did legends id use legends cape instead of sara cape, if i had rune gloves id use them instead of mith (not barrows/dragon because they are 130k to replace). id probably be better off using black vambs but i only have one of them and dont want to have to buy them back off someone for when i want to range. i dont think boots of lightness make enough of a diference to be worth missing out on getting every last mage def possible with very cheap stuff. i use gnome ammy for the melee def bonuses so the abyss creatures dont hit me asmuch.
August 5, 200619 yr for me im a cheap person just tryin to raise rc blue dragon hide (vams chaps etc) elemental sheild, glory ammy, ectophial R.O.L (ring of life) boots of lightness and the ess only 2 skills below level 50 :)

Eco as soon as they attack. If it is a melee'er whipping you, you could just run to abyss (but telly is recomended). Once at bank just hop worlds. If you see someone your level there, they mostly will try to PK you. Often times they can't get you the first time because a skelly will be attacking you, If you switch right away they will never get that chance. It isn't hard to find a world with no PKers... It isn't hard to find a world with no PKers... id tele from anyone with armour (none 1-itemers) who can actually hit above 15 and hit more than 1 time out of 5 , and ive found all pkers switch worlds/leave after 1 attempt (might be them seeing my protect prayer / using tele runes instead of glory / my lack of glory ammy and they just decide its not worth it)

August 5, 200619 yr what u should do teach em not to try and pk u is get a crystal bow and blk d hdie and own em and then they probly leave u alone to craft ur ess lol that reminds me, before some 96 in mage book and fire cape (im willing to bet he wouldnt take them out of the abyss area and his finger was on the teleport button every second he was in the wild) had to run from a guy runecrafting in crystal bow with no food (the crystal bow guy never had food, the 96 running on probably 5 food), funny stuff.
August 6, 200619 yr It's not worth the extra time it takes to collect all the jangerberrys and the extra banking/eating. Just bring a teleport tablet and as soon as you get entangled/iced break it. Read my guide for the best information on the subject. :) My Guide To The Abyss
