d3vilbro
Well ever since the Dragon Axe was raised in Stats I began to wonder why, mt best guess is that they are planning to release the Dragon Pic, or some other Dragon tool (non-combat) in the near future, and due to that having better stats than the Rune Equivilant they needed to get the Axe ready... Any thoughts? I_Xpk3r_I: Future Mayhem Maker

Italian5kamikaze
Dragon Boots. lol but yeah only thing is, will the d pick start out as good as a rune pick like the dragon axe being same as rune then theyll tweak it later? d3vilbro
My guess would be it will be better than Rune from the Start, that is why they felt the need to update the current axe, so it wasn't left behind... Adam007
Couldn't they have just raised it because they noticed it was going down really far in price, and was pretty much useless since it had the same woodcutting capabilities of a rune axe, and logically should be raised? Oh no, you're right. They did it to signal and hint to us that they would release a dragon pick soon. That's it. (I'm sure if they did release a dragon pick they could change the dragon axe at the same time)

(I'm sure if they did release a dragon pick they could change the dragon axe at the same time) I'd say the other way around: I personally think Jagex increased the effect of the d-axe, to reflect the hardship to get one as a drop and already high market value (1.5 mill for a chopping axe before price raise is still alot). The resulting price raise was in my opinion a secondary effect of increased demand on the better axe and not Jagex' first objective. On that same note: I expect Jagex to tweak d2h as well, to make it worthwile getting people to go see the elemental.

True. I think it would have been better if they released the pick and made the axe and the pick better than rune at the same update. This way, no one would see it coming. Now everyone knows that the pick will be better than rune. It would have been a nice surprise. Everyone would be out looking for a dragon pick and axe at the same time. tomdavies90
duel wielding dragon short swords with a cool animation special where you make an X shape and slash at them twice sort of like dds spec, i think they should make a big update and make more of the boring weapons which all attack the same (like longs scimmies and daggers) and make the animations more fun... Sig by me....
bflitny1
Personally I think it could be a big hint towards a d pick. Although they might surprise everyone and release a d harpoon...hehe, just thought of that  Or maybe both. Or a d lockpick. You could come up with a few things, but pick is the most likely. Sharky_Marky
On that same note: I expect Jagex to tweak d2h as well, to make it worthwile getting people to go see the elemental. People wont bother with ce because kq drops d2h too, so that was a huge mistake on jagex' part. Although i think jagex should bring in dual weilds. It would make the lesser weapons such as short swords much more useful, since axes, maces, longs, scimmies etc are all relatively commonly used, but noone ever bothers with short swords. vppunkrocker
I'd rather have dragon defender than dragon pick...Make it so u have to fight lvl 175 cyclops or something.
CloudSeller
We have had Jagex's answer to dual-wield in the form of defenders. Back on topic. Why can the quest series "Rise of the Red Axe" if they weren't giving us a pretty big hint? I'm fairly sure the drag pick will be the reward from the final quest in the series. johnno41
I think that they just raised it because no1 wanted it lol but if they do bring out drag pick etc they most likely wont bring out drag arrows because you cant make them and therefore you would only be able to buy them from a shop and no1 would ever have them :D Add me! Uula
Funny someone had exactly the same idea like 5 months ago :^o I firmly believe that once the Dragon Pickaxe comes out, that the requirement will be bumped up to 60, and that the speeds will increase. I believe the only reason the Dragon Axe isn't faster at the moment is because they're waiting to release the Pickaxe at a later date. ...afterall, why should it be fair to speed up woodcutting, but not mining? My point, exactly. It's like the same thing now :ohnoes:
