August 26, 200619 yr Not a rant..so dont move. Well everyone know's the good ol' saying, nice guys finish last, do you think this is true in runescape? Just last night, I found out that the 30M my friend has is ALL due to scamming.. yet hes not been caught, and has given up scamming, meaning that he wont get banned for it. Also, I'm currently at blue dragons now.. and this one guy appeared at my place.. and asked if we could share. I said yeah.. he took the first one, and then bring out a curse for every dragon after it when HE suggested sharing in the first place. One last example would be people who loose items to their 'friends', after trusting them, and lending it to them. If the person dosen't give back, this phrase is applied again. Jagex is all against, bad gameplay, as am I, but runescape sometimes feels, that Nice-Guys DO finish last. Does anyone else agree with me, or have opinions to the contrary? Edit: Before anyone accuses me of it, I am in NO WAY encouraging decietful, or plain ol' nasty behaviour in runescape. 92/99 Fishing | 119/120 Combat | 92/99 Firemaking | 94/99 Fletching | 1878/1900 Total | 85/85 Slayer | 80/80 Prayer
August 26, 200619 yr I don't care if I finish last : I enjoy bein' nice to people (Which reminds me I owe a certain person money :-$ ) But really, what can ya do?
August 26, 200619 yr That's people for you... Everyone says it's only pixels but some of us take it a little further than that... For us, our account is a prized possession. But yeah, if you give someone an inch, they'll take a mile (bad proverb, but it fits here). That's why if they ask to share, I just say "whatever" and go on training like I want... Now given, I was mining clay earlier today at the Rimmington Mining Pit, and there was someone there trying to mine the same rocks with a Steel Pick. He took one rock, and I was using both, but I let him have the rock he was using, since he would have absolutely no chance to get the clay before me (swing, swing, receive compared to swing, swing, swing, swing, swing *5 minutes later* swing, receive). don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

August 26, 200619 yr i like the saying "give a man a fish and feed him for a day teach him to fish, feed him for life" I can Runescap-ify that... "Give a man a fish, and he asks for more. Teach a man to fish and you can teleport while he's not looking." don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat
August 26, 200619 yr Wealthwise we don't make as much cash, because I'd probably have made over 30M in Spears and Helms by now if I looted my friends at the DK's, or an extra set of Ranger Boots, or a players Barrowing supplies and armor. But we good people, unlike the scammers and scumbags, have a clean conscience, nothing to fear, no one to avoid, the respect and trust of others, and best of all, a soul. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
August 26, 200619 yr when the bad guys get banned then come back and we'll talk about who finishes last

August 26, 200619 yr If all the scammers, macroers, and just plain irritating people got banned half of runescapes population would disappear. Oh well, less competition when mining adamantite. ~Greetings from across the River Styx~

August 26, 200619 yr Well, why it is rather difficult to play the game in a peaceful, rule following manner with all the autoers and stupid people running around, i'd still rather FIND ways of making money, good training spots, and everything else along those lines than have a computer play for me while i'm sleeping. But yes, in Runescape, nice guys DO finish last, it's just the way it is, and unless something big happens; it always will, but i'd much rather come in last, then be a cheater. : |Msg me me in-game | IrreIephant| ^ capital i
August 26, 200619 yr I don't care if I finish last : I enjoy bein' nice to people (Which reminds me I owe a certain person money :-$ ) But really, what can ya do? i completly agree with that i mean i'm never one to fall for multi-million dollar scams, never have never will, i'm a very cautous trader, i rarly go into the wildy, and never to fight. Sure if some guy says i've been hacked i need a new set of mith or something of the sort i'll give it to him, if wasn't hacked then congradulations him, if he was then i've helped out a bit. -= weasel =- rsname: moosewalker ~ top 10000 player :Dfull qp - always willing to chat add me...
August 27, 200619 yr i like the saying "give a man a fish and feed him for a day teach him to fish, feed him for life" I can Runescap-ify that... "Give a man a fish, and he asks for more. Teach a man to fish and you can teleport while he's not looking." How 'bout... "You give a guy a fish, and he knows where to go for fish. You teach him to fish, you just ruined your marketbase. What the hell is your problem?" :P
August 27, 200619 yr you need to find the right spot of being nice and being a jerk I have been getting the jerk end of that so now I am pretty well a jerk. At ogre enclave I just walk in and take any spot I want and no one can stop me unless they are 111 combat or higher. I have made many friends in this game and it isnt hurting me to miss out on a few just because i wanna train efficiently :P
August 27, 200619 yr Life isn't fair. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
August 27, 200619 yr I think you're mistaking being nice with naivety and general stupidity. I mean you can be a nice guy, help people out and feel rewarded. Or you can give in to all your friends who want to borrow items and only get half of them back. The scammers, the not nice guys, don't end up on top. Usually they have a good run, make a lot of money, but in the end most of them get what's coming - a ban. They get greedy and keep risking more and more and eventually just get banned. Nice players' reward, even if they're naive, is that they'll at least be appreciated for it, and to themselves they'll feel good inside, and of course there's benefits like eventually getting pmodded (although that doesn't necesarily happen to only nice guys, and if you are nice, you're obviously not gonna have great chances of getting that status anyway). So yeah. I do think you're mistaking being nice with being naive, clueless, and inexperienced, but overall it does pay off being nice as opposed to not.
August 27, 200619 yr Being nice is self-fullfiling. If other people tries to take advantage of you because of it, just realize that you're better than them, and be satisfied. All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it
August 27, 200619 yr Being nice pwnz, i lost 2 d chains and many more items (around 50m) in all my time playing, just for trusting my 'friends' Which FF Character Are You?
August 27, 200619 yr I agree, being nice DO finish last. So instead of going from one extreme (nice) to the other (not nice), just be tough and don't give out free lunches. Doraemon FTW! =)

August 27, 200619 yr It depends what you value more, friends/relationships/pixels. IMO. even though I've lost a large amount due to scamming, the friends that do return stuff I am closer to and trsut more therefore am richer in that sense.
August 27, 200619 yr its true...like how i got scammed outa santa at duel arena! problem jagex really cant stop it Proud Retired Council of The GladiatiorzClick here for our website - 110+ F2P Combat Requirements
August 27, 200619 yr For a big part, it is true. A friend and I have been having a big debate over money and he's saying how rich he is ect. and today I logged on and he was next to me and he said to someone else "Lol just missed a 6.44mil lure, claws of guthix was hitting 1s". I now know how he got all his cash. People like that just disgust me. Worst part about what they do is it racks in a lot of cash. I don't want to even know people like that, so he's long gone from my list now. The thing is it's not like they don't have friends because of what they're doing. They have their own group of friends who do it with each other, then chat about how close they got ect. How many runescape players does it take to change a lightbulb?50.1 to change the bulb and the other 49 to complain about how it was better before.THE MODS THERE ARE COMPLETE AND UTTER IDIOTS!So why are you here?
