I kinda feel guilty using KB rather than tip.it

Featured Replies

I like tip.it, I like the forums, I like it's calculators and maybe it's answers to the Treasure Trials and sometimes it's bestiary, but that's the only thing I use at Tip.it for. But when it comes down to accurate infomation and data, it's RuneScape's Knowledge Base. Now I know that the Tip.it mods do there best to keep the site up to date, but theres still a few things missing. The KB is always up to date with a wealth of infomation, even when an update appears for runescape.

Of course these sites are different in all areas. The KB still doesn't have a Bestiary, it doesn't give out answers to quests and other things, but Tip.it does, that's what a fansite does. Jagex can't give out answers because it would spoil the fun of thier own game, although it can't hurt to have a Bestiary which I think is really needed.

So basically for me: KB for accurate infomation, Tip.it for answers.

No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.

tip it is better because they give you tips and the KB just tells you stuff thats easy to figure out like how much exp you get for doing things

The KB gives tips and eveyrthing to. I use both equally but the KB has an obvious edge, they can research anything and they can have guides out at the same time the release the update!

KB doesn't have good tips they dont tell you where you should go to get your woodcutting up or the best place to fish for your level.

we all human...... thats all that matters

I use the tipit treasure trail guide. Its the best one ive seen by far.

Where it is true that the KB does give accurate info as soon as the update is done, its something that I dont feel the need to utilize. I dont mind spending a few hours toying with a new skill or update to see what to do and what it can offer.

I think people would realise how much more fun the game can be if you used the old neurons upstairs and give em a challenge come update time :)

But if im still lost after a few hours it's Tip.It all the way for me.

- My skills are now really, really lame ! Time to fix that! -

KB may give the information on where you can do something, but Tip.It always has nice guides on what to bring and how to do so. Although I do admit that I tend to use a RuneHq Questguide before a Tip.it one  Just more detailed.

99 Slayer since August 2007.

we all human...... thats all that matters

"We all human" sounds robotish =P

Anyway, I use the KB quite a lot, and even when it wasn't around I never used the site here other than for clues.

I do quests when they first come out, so I don't need a guide for them. For all other new updates, I get all the information I need from the KB and from what people post here on the forums.

I use as many guides from tip.it as possible! Treasure trails, quests, minigames(at first), skills, maps, FORUMS etc. I don't know what I would do without tip.it, however it's no reason to feel bad if you don't use the guides, it's not a law, nobody's going to be annoyed (or am I wrong?) and NOBODY is going to find out where you live and hunt you down for the bounty tip.it put on your head.

There is the table that goes to level 99....

I use Tip.it for everything except info about items... I use the KB for that.

Completely depends what im looking for, the KB does not offer calculators, minigame stratigies and such.

^^Click For Monster Hunting Blog (180M+ in drops)^^

I use KB for exp and lvls. I just gotta click "Manual" up on the bar and not open a new window, favoraties, tip.it, and navigate thru it. :P

I use both. The KB for construction information, and Tip.It for most other things.

Other then the forums i dont use tipit much either, because once during a quest i was stuck for about 40 minutes on it just because tipit left out a minor thing to do, and runehqs guide had it and their quest guide tells you just what to do, tipits seems to type out everything about the quest

I use both pretty much equally, excluding use of forums. TipIt forum is far better :)

Tipit needs an item database imo. lol lot of work kinda as there are many items being realeased every week.

I hate to say it, but I use everything. RuneHQ, Tip It, and Zybez.

RuneHQ seems to have wierd info that I never knew about.

I never used the KB

Tip It is my place for answers.

Zybez is my second choice. :-w

I think the first time I used the KB was when I was reading the manual for how to play about a year and a half ago lmao. Then I found tip.it :) (before that I would just struggle through everything lol.)

Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.
