Why do you think they put that there. Was it really needed?

 

 

 

Me personally I can't think of any reason why they put one there of all places. Especially when there is one in the basement. I think there are better places that are in need of one. :)

When you're completely new to the game and would walk off tutorial island for the first time, usually on f2p, the closest bank used to be Varrock (since you probably dont know the bank in desert and dont have many coins to spare for the guards). Navigating to Varrock when completely new at the game is quite tough (dark wizzards at the stonehenge).

 

So my guess would be they added it to make life a little easier on the completely new people that come to the game.

I'm guessing Jagex are putting banks close to all skilling thingys (for lack of a better name), in this case the spinning wheel 1 floor down.

Just making the game easier for new people so they wont think it's too hard and quit, also that Bank in the basement (wish I could see it even) is only for members.

I reckon that the one in the basement isn't f2p and it's only available after you started RfD. So one up there is really good I think.

This is one of the easiest games to play. It does however require brains to succede. If someone complains about this game being hard they should go back to checkers, and stay off MMORPG's alltogether.

You will find DRAYNOR VILLAGE bank is equally close to Lumbridge as Varrock east/west (use the south entrance). Of course, if you stick to the roads to Draynor (like a newbie would) and not go through the woods that is. They both take a 2.5 min walk :roll:

I agree completly with that, it is an easy game to play, but takes brains and patiance to succede. I found my true money maker that I love doing, RC.

i disagree with you about this point really...I mean, HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO KNOW where the bank is? you've just came here and are starting new. You don't even know wat draynor village or varrock is...so a bank in lumby is a place ot get started and get your bearings now. Btw, the chest in the basement is a RFD chest, so thats just stupid that people say there's already a chest there. THis bank isn't for p2p...btw, where needs one thats fair? What if they haven't played any other RPGs? You're thinking very close minded here it seems.

 

also, take a look at the new mine near lumby. 5 tin 5 copper. They are really trying to make tutorial island a friendly easy place to get started.

Draynor is much closer than Varrock. I even believe the Lumbridge Guide himself says that Draynor is the closest bank.

 

 

 

I personally don't like that bank, free teleport and all these tutors. Now noobs doesn't have to learn anything anymore. That makes it boring for them.

It was a good idea for new players. It won't effect skilling in any way ( except maybe spinning) so it does not wreck it for anyone.

Well, there used to be parties up on lumbridge roof world 29 most of the time. I dunno why the bank was put there but I dont think it will go over too well with the parties. :XD:

Yeah, they did it for the noobs. I can't imagine why, though, because most people with some intelligence can figure things out on their own, by like, looking it up on the internet. I mean, they must know that there is bound to be a guide somewhere to help them. I doubt the true noobs would even figure out where the bank is. While on my pure I had a noob approach me in the lumbridge chicken pen asking me to show him where lumbridge was. Then it took me like 2 minutes to explain to him that there was a free teleport to lumbridge in his spellbook. I'm sorry, but some people are just not intelligent enough to play online games. I know it sounds harsh, but that's the sad truth. They need to obey the 13+ age requirement. (not saying all 12- year olds are stupid, but a lot are...)
