jessy87
this is exactly why i hide my self away in various places when i play runescape, because low lvls cause drama. flame, your just causing drama. i dont really mind it on forums because, i could ignore it and close the page. in the game its a lil worse, and of course i could add you to ignore if my ignore list wasnt full(it isnt) if you goto the runescape forums about rants, i swear you will see 1 lvl 110+ complaining to the 9 other lvl 90ish people. low lvls alway complain, whip dont train str, whip price drop bad! whip this, barrows price go down... barrows repair costs... heres 3 threads of low lvls complaining Ruining my pure !!!!!!!!!! thanks to marvellous jagex staff who ever came up with the mage staff idea well done u should be fired. If u have your staff on using mage then u wield a combat weapon it automatically goes to defence giving my pure 6 defence which i never wanted. Now my file is more or less completely ruined so the buttons like pretty well done great job i must say............. Who ever thinks or know that runescape prices r to high lower them sing plz. I am completely sick of high lvls thinking they rule the world. Most r nice, some r complete morons. Ive been hacked by em even been threatend 2 be reprted 4 bug abuse by a very high lvl 4 stealing his kills at druid tower and ive even been pkd by alot in the wilde while doing t trails. Some just think they can insult you because they are a higher lvl ,that is just plain rong. Please try 2 set an example in the rs wrld. And if a high "respected lvl" reported u hu do u think rs will belive????Will they say they r rong, no they r most likely 2 put a bad mark agenst ur name. Ever reprted a high lvl for hakking or scamming?Anything ever happened? Were they banned?Did rs reply 2 ur query?NONONONO!Its time all rs player were dealt with with equal respect and punishment !POST HERE IF U LIKE RANTING ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!or if u think ive got a point! btw i just got hakked out of all my stuff so please dont blame me 4 being angry! first off, the first guy is over reacting, askin for a jagex staff member to be fired... 2nd guy is being unrealistic. 3rd guy just cant spell. Ban cannons from rock crabs jagex! There is no other good training spot for lower lvls. Pest control is not that good hardly win and monsters are to high. Castle wars you get owned the second you walk out the safe room. Who ever agrees Please reply.
mini193
they will. If they give good bonuses or look cool people iwll always wear them. And also most people will not care about the 5 noobs insulting them when they get like 50 saying "good job" or something like that Doing a little bit of everything
tripsis
Passing? Doubt it. If wearing a 99 Defence cape gets you called a nerd, then 126 would be what, 10 times worse?. Seriously. I know max combat players, and they don't get insulted as much as you'd like to think. People will skill just to wear these capes to show off. As more people level their stats and earn a cape, they'll wear it, nost shove it into some corner of their bank or POH for fear of jealous nubs telling them they don't deserve the cape they trained for. If they don't, jeez, talk about a sensitivity problem. Go train at some popular spot, like blue drags, and see how often people ask "Str?" "Mage lv?" "Ranged?". Stats are admired for the most part by RuneScape players. (What else do you play for?) A cape like that simply proves you have that particular stat maxed out. They won't grow old. I agree 100%. In most cases, when someone comments on your 99 stat, they are in awe.. They don't call you a "no lifer" or insult you. Sure, those cases do come up, but most of the time I find it to be the other way. And I believe Huta briefly mentioned the whole combat thing. Combat levels are the most apparent "skills" in runescape since they appear next to your username. When you're in a bank with a level 123-126, how often do you actually see them being called "no lifers?" At least for me, not very often. Most of the time I see people admiring them, asking them questions or sometimes even just ignoring them. Slightly offtopic, but I'd like to commend on the phrase "no lifer." Sure, if you see someone with 99 runecrafting or something, they could have spent two weeks runecrafting for 24 hours a day. Or, they could have been runecrafting for two years, playing runescape 2 hours a day. Would that be considered no lifing? I don't understand how people look at someone with a 99 stat (or even a stat that's just exceptionally high) and assume that they played runescape 24 hours a day to get to that point. Has it ever occured to them that it could have taken that person months or years to get there? - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Most people who will have those capes probably won't be greatly affected by it. Because people with high skills adapt to being asked tons of questions and accept the fact that they will get the occasional insult or "no lifer" comment. They learn to ignore and accept it. Made0f12une
or the fletching cape they wear. Discuss. Whats wrong with fletching? It isnt really that hard to level. It's actraully quite easy, especially when you have another money to buy raw materials rather then get them yourself ^^ClicK^^"I backed my car into a cop car the other dayWell he just drove off sometimes life's ok...Alright already we'll all float onAlright don't worry we'll all float on" - Isaac BrockDays Hunting:4 - Kingly Imps Caught:2Money Earned: 4.5-5m

There were alot of people that came up and said things to me regarding my stats.. Well the fact i was wearin a yellow hat wasn't helpin with attention... But some of em were sayin things like "get a life." "go outside." and some were praising the fact that i have some what decent stats.. I think my stats are really terrible for how long i've been on this game.. This may sound really lame but i take pride in my 99s only got 2 so far 5 more on the way tho. :) Atm i have 10 stats that are 90+. 7 of the 10 are 95+. i don't play everyday for like 10hrs thats not healthy... Lol I just don't let what others say bother me i play this game to have fun and people talkin smack doesn't effect that... Like you said Jessy low lvls start drama... I don't let their drama get to me i just tele away or continue doin what i am doin without confrontation I've never been called a no lifer/geek just because I have high stats, most low levels I meet say "wow, nice!" when I state one of my skill levels. The quest capes will definitly become more respected because of the constant quests coming into the game, when theres a skill cap of 99.it's been about 50/50 for me most say "Nice!" but there's a few that try to push my buttons about my stats... I'm not sayin that i am good or anything. I don't think my stats are very good at all.. I'm actually kinda glad about the lvl 99 capes.. I could be nuts tho lol RSN: drgnslyer15 15 skills 90+ - 10 skills 99 - 200m+ total exp

hurl
I like the idea of something that will represent your achievements, but I don't think the design or style of the capes will look that great. 123 Combat / 1900 Skill Total / 99 HP / 7x 99 Stats

To the flame kid who made the original post, you've spent 4 pages being obviously jealous that there is gonna be a new cape that you can't buy. j00b
the new capes will be amazing , jagex will not realese some rubbish items to players that have reached a 99 in a stat... it will probably be better then the fire cape , since..a lvl 50 can get a fire cape , not everybody can get a lvl 99 stat... i bet the hard ones like prayer , herblore , agility will all be looked apon very highly by other players :D 1103'rd to 99 crafting830th to 99 herblore~!~ Master Merchant ~!~
chibois
i agree that a good amount of skill capes wont serve much use, rather lookin forward to the combat capes tho. still some of the stat capes could be nice if you intend on usint that skill as a source of money, catchin fish faster or choppin trees faster for instance would be nice i do agree that a firemakin cape would be useless but then again the firemaking skill itsself is useless, almost as useless as body runes. yes the capes will lose their zeal over time, fire cape losts its bragging rights a good while bac, too many have em. d-chain isnt near as revered. a santa isnt all that impressive but who cares? you earn 99 in a skill for self satisfaction, the cape is just icing on the cake, a pat on the back, and of course a nice way to show your dedication to a skill. my site(not much on it yet :p)
Omali
MY question is: Is clicking in front of the computer for countless hours really worth that pixel cape and the title of geek from the irl friends you have on runescape? Too late, I was branded a long time ago and am just fine with that. In fact I have more friends nowadays than I ever did because the friends that I have showed me how to be more social while still being myself and not bending over backwards to satisfy someone else's ego. But yea. I think it was the Star Trek box set on my wall that did the trick. Most people don't even know I play runescape. Those who do, either play it, or don't care and are cool with it. callum6052
So basically, if you have put the effort and time in getting lvl 99 in a skill, you would be embarassed about it towards other players? I would be very proud of the achievement and wear that cape with pride and dignity, knowing that any player making a remark about it, is just jealous. Well done, that's what went through my mind. =D> I think I'm back :O

People Aren't Going To Care If You Have A Level 99 Stat For Christ Sake This Game Has Been Out For 6-7 Years Of Course People Are Going To Have Level 99 In Skills. :-s Oh Yeh Anyone Above The Age Of 3 With Half A Brain Would Have The Maturity To Realise That People Don't Spend Their Lives On A Game. See People It's A Game It's For Recreational Purposes I Highly Doubt Theirs A 60 Year Old Guy Who's Ruind His Life On Runescape And Living In His Mum's Basement.
