I hate Ads in general. Let it be in TV, Internet, Radio anywhere. All must be burned.

Certain ads should be illegal. HeadOn should be illegal for it's sheer annoyance factor. Acne fighting commercials should be illegal because they are misleading...Over-the-counter acne medications work for about a month, sometimes they work great, too, but after that, they stop working and the problem comes back worse. ;) That's pretty a pretty horrible way to sell a tube of Benzoyl Peroxide, but whatever.

ProActiv commercials especially. Those are the worst. Every celebrity endorsment they have is from a celebrity that has never even used the product EXCEPT for Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. He actually uses it. All the other celebrities have used Accutane, which is like the "cure" for pimples. It should be illegal for them to flat-out lie like that, but whatever.

What else...Oh yea, Girls Gone Wild commercials. Nothing against naked women, but give me a damn break already. They're on EVERY CHANNEL from midnight to 6 AM running non-stop. I do not need to see porn THAT bad.

The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past.

I wouldn't say only 3% of commercials are true. I would say 100% of commercials are true, but only 3% don't skew the view so much that it is saying something completly different.

if 100% were true then everyone in US would have slim bodys, rocky abs. and a strong immune system, just think if that kinda drug gave u that offer it would be sold more then 2 payments of blah blah blah

The crazy, long advertisements with this guy you never see rambling on and on about why the product is good stink.

The ads in which "popular" people appear, and act sort of inappropriate are horrible, and should disappear.

The easy to recognise ads, AKA the annoying ones, are better than some, but still not that good.

The hilarious ads, for various reasons, are the best. No need to kill them.

The computer pop-ups stink...

Did you ever read the fine print? They are 100% true, just you have to do a lot of other stuff to get those bodies. I would say the medicine that you buy is more or less useless, but combine it with a good diet and a lot of exercise, and you will look better.

In general ads can be annoying, but sometimes they're pretty clever and funny. They're great on the super bowl. But once they get to such a repetitious point they get annoying.

I actually enjoy well produced TV ads, my only problem is with infomercials.

Those things really drive me nuts, specially because they take over all the good channels on the TV during the morning. :(

I hate the commercials where they directly say that their competetors are worse than them. Take the Mac ads for example.

"I'm a Mac"

"And I'm a PC"

"You suck, PC."

Head-on doesn't really work. I tried it about 50 times, and none of the times did it work.

I used to have a link to my school's project to provide fresh water to a Kenyan Village, but the sig police changed the link to say something, which, if followed, leads to an "ahem" adult website. Let me ask you. Which do you think is worse?

I find much of advertising fascinating :D Especially when you know it's untrue, but somehow appealing anyway. and some of it humorous :) It rarely bothers me though :)

Everybody hug and spread the love :D

Reminds me of the governors race here :P

The current governor gets bashed in ads and then she comes back with her own ad talking about why you should look at past examples instead of listening to her opponents bash her :P

*sigh* I used to think it was illegal to blatantly bash a product in a commercial :(

Advertising in general doesn't bother me, but there is one thing about advertising that has always made me wonder:

Why do Pepsico and Coca Cola advertise? Surely every last one of you know what Pepsi and Coke are. You probably have a particular favorite. You may favor either, neither, or both, but I am positive that not one of you has ever seen a Pepsi or Coke commercial and thought, "You know, maybe I'm wrong?"

It's a waste of their profits, I think.

Agreed. Not many people have a set biased between the two, the fact that you can think of one off the topic of your head gives one or the other an avantage. If I think, hmm, IBC root beer, or Bargs, then I think, haha bargs had a funny commerical, I just skip over IBC all together, because my mind has be focused on bargs because it got my attention, and became a memory.

There is a saying in polotics. There are three kinds of people, sinners, saints, and savoirs. The sinners will never vote for you not matter what, the saints will always vote for you no matter what, and the savior is the one that throws the election, you get them on your side, and they will be your savior. Much like politics, these companies are fighting for the saviors, not the sinners or the saints.

I never have these problems. Tivo FTW! \' \' Just fast forward right through them. I generally don't watch TV though. If I happen to be on live TV, I just find something entertaining to do while I let the TV ramble on about junk I don't care about. For example, when I am watching Sunday afternoon football, I pause the game for 10-20 minutes and leave. I come back and just watch. That kills about 10-20 minutes of commercials. It works great.

I hate all commercial adverts. I don't hate adverts for a good cause, like promoting road safety or giving money to charity.

I do all I can to avoid them. On TV I flick over to a channel that isn't having an advert interruption, on my computer I have hyper-zealous ad-blocking software.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
