Is it really needed to have screenshots? can't you just make a list like that other topic? it'll be less cluttered in my opinion

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.

Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,

that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.

So we shall flow a river forth to Thee,

and teeming with souls shall it ever be.

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti.

the captian you have to speak to during the monkey madness quest is named Kruk, probably a reference to Captian Kirk from Startrek.

On Lunar Isle, when you examine Bouqet Mac Hyacinth you get "Should I pronounce it bucket?"

And I believe that Miscellania has a "Hey nonnny nonny" reference to Hamlet somewhere.

I'll edit this post later I think. I don't actually have any screenies though. I'll try to get some.

Yeah, I want SCREENSHOTS. And where is the "Should i pronounce it bucket" reference from

The "should I pronounce it bucket" quote comes from a UK sitcom called Keeping Up Appearances, where the main character is called Hyacinth Bucket and insists on it being pronounced "Bouquet" as this sounds more upper class...

  • 2 weeks later...

The wine seller in Draynor, Fortunado, is a reference to an Edgar Allan Poe short story. Fortunado was a famous wine and cheese taster, and the villain used that weakness to get him drunk and kill him. I just found that because we're studying Edgar Allan Poe in my english class, lol.

This is my original signature. You can't touch this.

The "Not the mightiest tree" one made me fall off my chair. Now we need a quest with the killer bunny in it. Imagine it the killer bunny is guarding the entrance to a cave:

Person: Look there it is...

You: What behind the rabbit?

Person: It is the rabbit.

You: Bla bla saying how hes crazy

You: Oh shut up *Charges in and gets slaughtered*

You: Holy!!!1111111111shiftone!

there is a chap in the Rouges Den, take off, of Richard O`Brian, I forget the name, but it was a TV show, Crystal Maze??. Have seen other refs, but slip my (aging and decrepit) mind just now. :)

If noone's posted, Most'le Harmless is a reference to the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy. In the guide, the entire entry on earth is "Harmless". After Ford Prefect sends in his updated report on it, and they finish editting it, the description becomes "Mostly harmless."

Is it just me or did part of Rat Catchers seem like MGS series.

Stealth, avoiding guards, leaving open doors that guards walk past. All we need is an annoying twit shouting. SNAAAKE! SNAAAAKE!

and a half-hour cutscene where somebody examines a gun, pointing out loads of useless information about it

on topic, in burgh-de-rott there is a fire wihc 3 people are round. examie the fire and it says: come, lets bask in fires warming glowing warming glow

reference to treehouse of horror episode in the simpsons where homer says, come family lets bask in TV's warmiing glowing arming glow

Sorry to sound like a wannabe mod but there is already a topic on this, I remember reading it a while ago and it started with a lot of Monty Python references.

Heh... well, i havnt seen that one, it must have been eaten by the After-The-Lastpage-monster, or the 51 page monsters (from rs forums) brother :)

Soz that was lame

It's better to keep your mouth shut and have everybody think you're stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
