I think every 1 forgot about Pker Dude Jr. He has 2100 total, so he is pritty good.

Everyone forgot the best player of all. Lightning. She's been playing so long that she was in the top 10 before I even heard of the game... and I just celebrated my 4 year anniversary not too long ago.

How does playing longer than most people make you the "best" player?

 

 

 

You need to define best as it can be taken several ways.

 

 

 

Anyway, why does it matter? It's a pretty pointless question.

i would have to say X Runes or Zelda Ot for achiveing the unthinkable of 99 rc all the time that went into it!

Wow guys, everyone is talking in a new context, and thinking of skill totals and combat lvls. These guys aren't the best players, and a lot of names mentioned sure aren't all that active.

 

 

 

Lightning is my favourite, by far. I met her in game back in August 2001 when I made my first account, and instantly thought she was the best. Huge lvl compared to me, very nice gear, and seemed to be quite mature. I eventually drifted over to the tip it site, for a little help on the first quests.

 

 

 

Lightning's name fell under nearly every quest recognition, she was the type of person who was paving the way, learning new things about the game and sharing it with the newcomers. She topped the server ranks, and was practically a Runescape legend among all the players. People began creating similar names such as Lighting 2, Lightniing etc.

 

 

 

However times have changed, and Rs2 brought with it the release of ridiculous easy leveling such as pc, 1 click fletching, cooking, etc. Newcomers could take over the old legends instantly and had the nerve to claim they were better.

 

 

 

So therefore, Lightning was, one of the best players of all time, AND she runs these forums. People need to remember her and her efforts, a legend like that can't die.

 

 

 

Other favourites are Melie (can't remember exact spelling), Hohto (again with the spelling), Phil and more recently, Leesters.

Nah, you know what's great about Tip.it? The average IQ here is about 75 higher than that of the average 'Scaper.

I fully agree with all you said. Lightning should be up there!

 

And yes, training has been made all too easy. I won't go any further with my rant to Pest Control here, but training is too easy now. Even though I've never played RSC, but I wish training would be as hard as there.

 

But still, persons like N0valyfe and Zezima has put alot of effort into this game, and I'd say they deserve some attention ( :roll: ) here too.
