Well Officially my Rs Time is Up!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unfortunately I lent my Green Halloween Mask to my Brother because he wanted to parade around with it for his own self-gratification (only God knows why he wanted to).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And when he went to trade it back to me he traded it to the wrong person, and didn't realize through the 3 times that it tells you which player you are trading with still traded it to the wrong person. A bit of this could be blamed on the fact that the friends list was down, but you got to be a bit thick to do something so stupid in the first place. By the way my brother doesn't live with me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well my brother hassled the guy he traded my Green Mask to for ages asking politely for it back telling that it was a mistake and wasn't meant to go to this certain player, but to me, as I followed along knowing that the chances of this player giving it back was as slim as Michael Jacksons nose.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After a wild goose chase through around Draynor Village, Fally, Barb Village and back to the members area up around White Wolf Mountain, the person finally logged.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well I drew to this conclusion. Rightly so that this person shouldn't of had to give me back my 30 million gp item as it was my brother's foolishness which cause this (another factor which really turned my stomach). But there is always that one person out there which puts their feet in another persons shoes and would of realized what we were going through, but unfortunately for my sake it wasn't to be this person.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So after a few deep thoughts this whole incident has made me realize. I've been wasting the last few years (on and off) on pixels for the sake of some fun. There would of been hundreds of more practical and beneficial things I could of done to help me and those around me which was wasted by a game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So I have come to the conclusion that I should hang up my pixel boots and head on over to reality (life). And not waste those precious hours on a game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And despite it all I still love my brother just the same as before. :3>

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thanks for reading, and I'll still be around the forums, here and there as I love this growing community! I hope that this thread hasn't been one of those annoying I got Hax3d so I'm leaving Rs threads, but that at least someone has had a second thought about the time wasted on a few pixels (in my case expensive ones).

I play runescape for fun. But this person decided he played too much. He decided that he would be better off doing something else than playing runescape. It's his decision to find something mroe worthwhile than runescape. You may feel that ruenscape is the best possible use of spare time, but not everyone feels that way. This person has found reality to be better than runescape.(reminds me of the matrix)

 

 

 

It's also notable that MMORPG's often offer an escape from reality kind of feeling. This is very unhealthy, and why some people choose to stay away from them.

In any case, the leaving runescape seems to be the general concensus for many. I've semi-retired. I go one every 3 days or so, but not really that much. it dosen't have th same "magic" as it did, the wonder of a whole new world to explore faded, then the time of maxing everything (getting rune, completing dragonslayer), then the time of habit, where I did it because I'd always played.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now I stay on to keep my mind working. I usually multitask by playing 3-4 RPG games at once, with 2-3 forums.

I may be the only one that agrees with you. When people quit and say things like "I've wasted all this time on some pixels" it is indirectly saying that the people that continue to play are "wasting" their lives, which I find to be somewhat insulting.
