no, if you offer a bad trade, you probobly have A LIFE, unlike some people who are 100+ combat, and do nothing but play runescape "but, but, i have a girlfriend" some high levels try to say, "I get outside" yeah, to get in your mom's car to go to school, or in other cases, to get in your moms car to go to work! But you are probobly a guy who thinks everybody who is a level is a noob, i would rather be a noob, than a huge fat nerd who lives in my moms basement... I wouldn't consider my self a noob, but I know 123yourgone is about to call me a noob for talking on and on about his thoughts, but I think that everybody who walks around calling low levels noobs, needs to get a life, or something like that... 123yourgone, i know your thinking you could own me, or you could beat me, or other stuff like that, but i dont care. well if you think that people who dont know prices are noobs, than you need a life. if all you do is memorize prices all day, than your a real life noob, your probobly a 400 pound, 16 your old, kid who is whiter than sour cream... I know your gonna reply to this, so let me say something, you think your big, and strong having 90+ attack, and other stats like that, but your not, you have a life, a runescape life, no other life.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The interesting thing about this is that I am a 28 year old accountant. I have a wife and two kids. I am level 91. I play the game during the winter months and sometimes to pass the time while my daughter watches the Disney Channel. I am an active weightlifter, former Marine, and I run 15-20 miles ever week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, I have never ever called anyone a "noob." This is due to the simple fact that I think the word is terribly offensive. I don't appreciate being called it, and therefore, I would not call anyone else that word.

Yesterday, I was cutting some willows and immediately burning them.

 

 

 

A level 42 person came up to me and said "Sword please"

 

 

 

I said "What?"

 

 

 

The 42er said "Give me a sword"

 

 

 

I said "No"

 

 

 

42er "Noob" (and he/she ran away)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A few minutes later a 37er Said "5k"

 

 

 

I said "??"

 

 

 

He/she said, "Give me 5k"

 

 

 

I said "Nope"

 

 

 

He/she said "Noob" and left

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The really funny thing is under the right circumstances I would have traded a few willows for the 5k if the person would have been polite.

Every new player from tutorial island comes into runescape knowing the price for every item...dont think so :notalk: Its by trial and error that many players work out what item is worth wat etc If a lvl 40 was offerin a wooden shield, tinderbox and 3 raw shrimp for full rune, well yeah that is nooby but he should know better...give the lower lvls some slack =;

I see countless videos on youtube of people meeting zezima, all these people swarming around him "NOOB!" "Get a life" "move out of your parents basement" "get a girlfriend" "Your a 81 year old women who never went to school" I mean wth. Just because zezima has been playing since the game started (roughly) and maybe got a bit obsessed along the way... (how many of us havint at one point?) he gets called a no-lifer. I mean for god-sakes. HES MARRIED. It says on his website that he has a very balanced lifestyle and doesnt spend countless hours on the computer anymore.

I'm cmb 80, total 870 and i was fishing the other day and this guy comes up to me and calles me a noob because i'm wearing full guthix, he was around level 45-50, then i asked him if he even knew what the word noob means, and he said: "yes, you", this is always happening to me with players that are maybe level 50 and under.

 

 

 

Another funny example is when i was killing dark wizards, wearing full green d hide, anti-dragon shield and my scimmi, and there was a guy there about level 70 and i ask him why he's wearing full rune, then he says it's for protection against magic, then he says that i'm a noob and he knows a lot more about RuneScape then me, lol.

 

 

 

I think that people shouldn't use the word noob so much, unless there's a high level that just doesn't know anything. Noob a player that doesn't know anything(very little) about the game? And a newbie is a new player, that's atleast what i've seen the words are.

I got called a noob a few months ago because I had a higher combat level than someone else. so i simply replied "thanks"...

I agree the term "noob" is way outta control.Some drunk driver steered it in the wrong direction.A level 39 came up to me,called me a noob,asked if i wanted 40k and then walked off.He called my pure which is only level 23 atm :-w a noob just because he made too fast conclusions,judged my book by the cover,and jumped in too fast about my combat level.Learn a lesson from this thread people.

People don't understand what "noob" means. It means new player. Nowadays, I'm a noob if I use bandaids in Castle Wars. I'm a noob if I teleport. If I get 99 in a stat, somebody who has higher xp in that stat will call you a noob. Personally, I think noob, n00b, fr00b, ch00b, and all of those names should be censored.

i ALWAYS love when im pking on my lvl 78 rune pure ranger... i get pures not fighting me cause im a "def" noob with my HUGE 44 def, and im a noob cause i ONLY have 88 range.. (speakin of which watch my first vid hehe)..... but the people that make ME mad personally is when im fighting and they agree to fight me to death (DM) and at the end they run and telly.. that doesnt bother me THAT much i mean its there right, but when they add me and start flaming me calling ME a noob for no apparent reason, makes NOOOO sense

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

OR when i pk, and i die, i always try and add the person who killed me and try and congradulate them, yet when i kill people in a fair fight they seem to add me and call me a noob cause he lagged or something dumb like that... which makes no sense?! On another note, i think the definition of noob has changed from being a person new to the game, to being a person who tries to make the game irritating for others, and who does things that will not benefit them, however make the other guy mad and not wanting to play...

to be honest, everyone is a noob now, unless theyre level 100+ im level 77 and havnt played runescape for a year or so up until last friday, i asked a simple question 'are there any mithril rocks here' and i got greated with, your a noob learn how to play runescape. yea ok.

i tottally agree!!! I've seen people with a lvl 14 combat but 94 mining and really high everything else, they just don't fight anyone. Not to mention that they know almost everything there is to know about the game. :thumbsup:

I was buying a rune scimmy a while back, and I was talking to the guy who was selling it to me. I offered 35k and this level 5 comes up and starts calling me noob. He said that rune scimmys costed 1mil, and that I was a noob who needed to play Runescape more. Then he started the whole "My main could kill you!" thing, and then he actually brought his main on. It had a santa hat, and fletching skill cape. I wasn't too impressed, but this guy followed me around the whole time I was one saying "Aren't you jelous! I could kill you! Look! I'm 21mil richer than you! HA HA NOOB!" To say the least, I wasn't impressed.
