It's just about how people have damaged their wiis, damaged things because of their wiis or any damages related because of using a Wii. A quick example; DUDEWHERESMYCART of the Nintendo forums was playing Wii Sports: Tennis when the controller flew from his sweaty hands. The Strap failed and let the remote go through his parent's house window and out into the yard. Now the window and him have been boarded up. He's currently grounded. November 28, 200619 yr I have no problems holding on to it, and I do some crazy swings. But I've bumped it once when I swing back. Even if you throw it out of your hand, the wrist strap should be on and it'll swing around your arm. You'd have to be pretty dumb to be able to throw it anywhere.

Common sense, if your hands a sweaty, stop and wipe them down. Pause button for a reason. I mean, people don't crap their pants instead of pausing and going to the dunny. Same concept, smaller threat to game-play :uhh:
November 29, 200619 yr Well, the Wii remote doesn't exactly look like it's conducive to lending a better grip. I mean the damn thing's just a straight rod. Now, if it was more ergonomically designed, it would be slightly curved to suit a general hand shape, as well as having at least some rubber parts to allow better grip. Still, with sweaty hands, you should wipe it down. However, Nintendo should have at least made an effort to make a better design. Yep I have one and no its not necessary at all. You can still get very immersed in the game-play without swinging at mach 5 speeds :P
