Of course it works, but don't expect to actually see the results. The percentage that the ring increases your luck of drops by is quite low, i'd say around 10%.

I have not recorded results, but I know that wearing the ring does affect my drops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm not going to insist that the drops are always better. I know the ring increases the percentage of gp drops for most monsters, which is not good. And it decreases desirable drops sometimes, like limpwurts from hobgoblins.

I've always worn a ring of wealth, and to be honest I've never seen a difference to when I didn't used to wear one....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Obviously it does make some sort of difference, but it will be a very small difference.

wrong forum, but it supposed to give more rare drops, some theorys says that it decreases the chance of getting dragon drops.

you could just test it out.

 

 

 

The average rune med drop is 1/200 lesser demons (rougly)

 

 

 

so just wear a ring of wealth, and kill 200 lesser demons at 3 seperate times.

 

 

 

Then compare the results

Have like 7 people participate, and all kill 200.

 

 

 

THEN compare

lets just say, you'd be better off filling that spot with one of the dagg king rings then a ring of wealth.

I generally see more items when I camp out at Fire Giants with a ROW then without one.

I've never seen any significant results with the ROW. I spent about 25k chaos runes down at the metal drags with a ROW and no dragon drops. I know this doesn't exactly merit that the ROW does nothing, but in the times I've worn it, I didn't feel it works.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have an effect on super rare drops like Dragon, but it does have an effect on semi-rare things like Rune Scimitars from Fire Giants and common drops like Fire Runes.

I generally see more items when I camp out at Fire Giants with a ROW then without one.

You'd have most likely got th ame amount, or more, with ROW. Rune arrows would be considered a rare drop.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kind've stupid how people think that just because they got a good drop without ROW, and didn't get one with it, they suddenly jump to the conclusion that it doesn't work. :roll:

What I believe it does, and many will agree with me, a Ring of Wealth increases the percentage, by a low amount mind you, of a drop that is worth more to Jagex.

 

 

 

Basically the more the item sells for to a general store the more likely you are to get that item.

i use to wear one but i didnt notice a change so i just wear my ring of life

The point is IF it does work, can you take the chance to now wear it?

didn't jagex say ring of wealth increase the chances of getting a rare item from a monster by 20%?

I notice a small increase in gem drops while wearing a RoW, but apart from that it's not very noticable. I awalsy wear one while killign Dust devils or KQ, every bit helps :wink: .

afetr 100 fire giants i got 3 rune scimmies no ring, after another 50 only 1 with the ring

Noone knows how the ring exactly works and on which items it gives a bonus chance. But since most of of the other rings are almost completely useless (+4 strenght is nothing compared to +15% from black mask) you'd be better off to just wear a ring of wealth during slayer task or combat training.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personally i think it only increases the chance of getting gems / half key / 5 rune javs / left half and maybe some more items.

i got 3 ranarr seeds on a moss giant task :

I've killed over 5k Fire Giants whilst wearing the ROW... i've had ZERO dragon med drops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Similarily, I've killed over 10k Dust Devils, and never received a dragon drop.

wow thanks that means if you kill dusties for chain don't wear that ring

I have better luck with my ring of stone... My ring of wealth always seemed to hurt more than it helped.
