So these new armours are like a better dragon, which do NOT degrade (like barrows and therefore not as good as barrows) and looks like low penalties to magic+range. Not sure though.

I am SO glad I decided to sell my dragon and barrows in order to buy pure ess for rcing. Just before this armor thats better then dragon arrives. Saved myself alot of money :) :)

I'm happy, I sold my chain for 14.8M and legs for 2.35M yeasterday. Those that were too greedy will now be stuck with it or will have to drop their prices a lot :boohoo:

This sucks. The supreme black dhide with lv 70 ranged requirement got owned by some lv 65 ranged armors :roll:

And the outcome: Prices of the current armour will fall dramtically.

Dragon isn't expensive just because of rarity, supply and demand play a significant role aswell. Just compare dragon skirts and legs, they're supposed to be equally rare, yet you can buy 4 skirts for the price of legs.

your forgeting how hard and random it is to get a piece, let alone a whole set of stuff, it will still be quite expencive, and so will dragon because that is alot easier to get than doing a clue, also more likely to get a chain from kq than a third age plate from a clue

i was told their is a set effect on 3rd age items, but of course that is just idle chit chat on world 2 of a owner of the full mage armor

Slayer dart is effected by mage bonus, just like other mage spells.

Dragon armor is not priced for its good stats. because torag is even better, yet is a huge amount cheaper. So why is dragon more expensive? because its rare. its very hard to get (kq) and dust devils are not even worth the effort, the rate for d chain is like 1 in 10,000 I believe.

Well, we need to remember all the factors of the items. They are fairly rare in a treasure trail. They have very good bonuses. They require a defence level. And, they are brand new. I estimate the prices for a full 3rd age set would be probably a bit under twice to three times the price of a barrows set, once prices settle down in a few weeks.

I'm sure he wasn't spreading the rumor. Mage attack bonus doesn't really matter that much for slayer dart (at barrows)

The 3rd Age melee armour won't drop too quickly because these things are so rare it's not funny. There are a lot of people doing treasure trails that usually wouldn't and there is still a lack of armour. When people start going back to whatever they were doing before, it will be just as rare.
