A Random Thought On Monkey GreeGree's

As you know, for a few quests and to name a few: Monkey Madness and Recipe For Disaster, you need Monkey GreeGree's of various sorts. And as you know (well, if you've done the quest) during Monkey Madness, you need to turn yourself into a monkey at the Ardougne Zoo. Now, as you also know, the magic wears off and turns you back into human form when you get too far from Ape Atoll. So, here's what I found odd... Why the heck can't you turn yourself into a monkey on Crash Island?! If the maps are correct on the Runescape Page and on Tip It, then you should be able to, considering Crash Island is CLOSER to Ape Atoll than Ardougne!!! Just a thought, any ideas why?

Thats the answer... though it wouldn't explain why you can't turn into a monkey on Karamja.

Anyways, I believe that the monkey greegee only works in the vicinity of civilized monkeys or by a monkey from Ape Atoll.

Perhaps the magic of Monkey Greegrees works only around Monkeys. This may make sense, but then there is the fact that there are Monkeys on Karamja and by the Magic Carpets in Al Kharid, and Greegrees don't work there :-k

No one said it had to be logical! But as you know, the mage that makes them for you says that it only works close to ape atoll, and crash island is close to ape atoll, so it should be working there, I mean, it's a conspiracy man!

yeah, I agree. Some other reasons may be:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ape atoll (obvious)

 

 

 

Crash island (no monkeys, no need for monkeys, nothing to do with monekys (if you get me))

 

 

 

Zoo (monkeys are near, it makes.. sense.. if you like, to be able to turn into one.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I agree with Jagex's choises of where they allow you to, but that is my personal view, you don't have to follow it :?

Well, I guess there might be a mage monkey of some sort on Ardougne that allows you to use your greegree. My personal opinion :-k

i wondered this too but there are no monkeys on crash island and karamja is...too remote? i dunno

I think the greegree's should work anywhere but the wilderness or other PvP areas. We never get anything properly decent from the higher level quests, might aswell not bother.

the gree gree is made from a corspe so it may still have some power so it might only wanna do it where it wants

Yes, there is no true point of turning into a monkey on Crash Island, but still, it's slightly contradictory of what the mage monkey says when he gives you back the greegree during the quest. And, considering you can turn yourself into a monkey in the zoo part of ardougne, wouldn't that mean you could turn yourself into a monkey as you head further south in Kandarin considering you are getting closer to Ape Atoll. :P

maybe the world of glienor(did i spell that right) is folded in such a way that ape atoll IS closer to the ardougne zoo than crash island......eh?... im not crazy...........
