Is full guthans really worth the 8-9 million it costs to buy it, plus the repair costs. Is it really all the great?

Yep, it;s worth it: think about all the food you don't have to buy/fish/cook for training. It's a slayer's best friend ;)

Well I think the price is worth it, then again anything that has a set price is worth it to me : Cept' for dragon

imo, guthans is well worth the money.

Isn't the repair every 15 hours? You can get anough drops from something to cover the repair in 15 hours I bet.

15 hours killing tzhaar monster is bound to get you enough, most probably make a massive profit.

So no matter what you kill you dont need food??

It's worth it, but you shouldn't sell everything you have to get it. You need regular equipment, and you don't really train with guthans, you use another armour set and weapon, then use the set to heal yourself.

The set effect of full Guthans is that you can heal the same amount of damage that you hit.

Even though the amount of time Guthans lasts is only 15 hours, most people don't use only Guthans.

 

 

 

A combination of plain rune armour and Guthans just for healing can last you for days!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Defintely worth the cost. You can just buy it to use for a while, then sell it again. The prices are relatively stable too.

of course its worth it. Guthans IS the best set of armor jagex has ever (and probably ever will) release.

Guthans is the best armour in the game, period.

Guthans is worth if if you play your cards rights, what I mean by this? Simply to wear armour besides guthans exept when you need healed, this makes you only use the effect and can mean you stay at one place training for weeks, downside to Guthans is mainly the fact you have to train defense xp whilst using it and the max hit is low.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you are a balanced player wanting to raise defense and train slayer it is worth it, considering when I first bought guthans it cost me 1. million I would say 8-9 million is pretty awesome value!

Guthans is good for a wide range of things, except for actual training. It's especially useful for abby demon camping and dag kings.

I can't imagine training without Guthans any more, it is well worth every gold piece.

I think when used for slayer or trainging it's well worth the cost. If you don't mind spending the less than 300k every 15 hours it works out great. It's not a money loss because you can always sell it back for the (almost) exact same price plus the mon you lose on the recharges you can easily make back with drops.

Or they just bring a weapon and shield and switch them with the warspear as needed :P
