Ive noticed several time that pest control is disliked, as in, they should take it out of the game... i found it very fun, your thoughts...

its was fun until you could get easy combat levels, thats why its got so much negative feed back

You don't hear about it much anymore because it is not as good as it used to be. When there was heart unit and affliction before, it used to always be the 100+ ...never the majority pures. You maybe saw 2 pures there and that was it, almost all high levels. Naturally the games were extremely fast so it was deemed too easy to level. Now anymore its all pures there and a few high levels. The games are longer and its just better to train with slayer and black mask.

I don't like it because it makes lvling combat too easy. I'm 107 Combat and I've only done pc to gain 2 prayer lvls, and prayer is the only thing I'll do pc for.

I dont see why the leveling thing is an issue... i mean, is it the exp the knights give out?

I personally think that the release of Pest Control has led to a larger group of immature high level players who go from 80 to 100 Combat in a week using Pest Control Points. When I get back members I'll probably train Combat through Slayer if I want to.

i pc 1 mill str exp and i prefer slayer so much more interesting with drops

I don't like PC. The points just don't come at a good enough rate for me to be bothered to switch worlds every 5 minutes. I'd rather train the old-fashioned way.

not entirely true, pc is still amazingly fast... especially on range/magic. when i was using a crystal bow and shooting as many arrows on rapid, i tended to @ least make back the 180k for the bow.

i find any person between the lvls 80-100 immature usually... trust me theirs a big flow of high lvls that are immature, i was 110-113 when pc came out. i tended to stay above most people yet, 99 combat stats were a dream to me. after getting 99 str @ pc well... i stopped doing pc for 6months and then got 99 magic @ pc. trust me, immaturity is something u cannot avoid in this game, theirs subtle immaturity that i like to do. that really hurts no1.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

such as, goto world 2 people stand around selling stuff @ the fally furnace...well i just constantly open and close 1 door(it has 2) or whenever some1 asks me stuff i lie... i lie like i was going to get killed if i told the truth.

people say it leads to immature high lvls, but i dont really see many lvl 100's that act immature than before pest control. Really, slayer is just as fast with a black mask, and all the new armor sets. If you're going to complain about people getting to a high lvl too fast because of a faster way of exp, you have to complain about all the new armor sets. Imagine how hard training would be if everyone still had to use full rune/dragon + d scimmy.

I can't speak for heart unit, but I know you can't for affliction. More like 30. On a good hour.

I disagree with you, i was 91combat after 5months of playing, pc came out and i am now 104 combat. anyways i was in afflcition till 100cobmat and i saw nothing like what you described, when i got 100, about 2weeks ago, i did see an increase of 2-3 pures per boat to 3-5pure per boat but thats not a big difference, oh plus it was the weekend.....anwyays i agree that black mask and slayer are good for exp in total but not for single stat exp, slayer training your gaining exp in two stats, but at pc you train one stat and if u chose to you use ur points on that stat, meaning you only gain exp in one stat, also the exp you gain from pp doesn't add up to the amount you would from slayer, however if you train one combat stat in pc and then use ur 100points on a seperate skill it is then btter then training with black mask and slayer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pest Control is a positive thing, and only reason why people disgust it so much is because they are probably 110+(have u seen 80 and belows complaining about pc?), who had to train the long way, and are mad or frusterated at how fast it is now, or they're just jealous that 110+ isn't going to be a honoured accompilsment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Whoever said or started that 100+ aren't gonna be immature are immature, there's always and always has been 100+s since rs2(if you wanna know my reason why rsc 50cb+people imo aren't immature, pm me, i'll give you a nice long reason=) )that are immature its a fact of life, i know a plenty of 100+s that are immature, maybe the ones your talking about are low in the skill they're training so they have time to talk, maybe they aren't as high skill as you are so you don't have as much time to talk, thus you do not know if your mature or not, you cannot judge if your mature or not.

yea, 50 pc points an hour is a good # an hour. and i used to think heartreturns was good... and it is really. they are a good low lvl pc group. and i seriously suggest if your 105ish, HR is the best.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

however, their are other pc groups out their that are good. ZPS is a 120+ pc group, however somewhat small it needs work in the area of leaks but the pc points are just about as good as with heartreturns. that is why zps changes worlds every 20-30minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

oh, and to say what trojan said, dont contact me about zps... its 124+ to use zps IRC channel. and im not good @ dealing with people about it.

People don't necessarily want it removed from the game. It's a fun minigame. They just don't want the game to have such insane xp, entirely replacing the old ways of gaining maximum efficiency combat xp.

people are losing out on the episodic experience of the other much more relevant methods of the gameplay.. since xp is often preferred... this causes such an array of social and i would say even slight socioeconomic problems for others of high "class" (categorized by level).. would make a great essay.. could be called "pc products - liberals or just newbs?" haha

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

all in all, pest control is a statement by jagex that is changing the direction of the game. they're smart. i used to think they were dumb. but they are teh smart. they proved it to me over the years with some of these sometimes absurd updates; only to find later a true systematic beauty within the game change- once fully explored
